Islefan, can you recall the last time you actually had something POSITIVE to say after a Knick win? I think that's the part that's hard to take. For a supposed Knick fan, don't you think that it's odd not to be elated when the team wins and at least once in a while express some appreciation for the effort given?

This team wasn't supposed to be great this year, but most of us expected that this team could get to .500 and a possible playoff appearance if everything fell right. Well we've had more injuries to key players than I expected. Especially at this point in the year when it's most important to be healthy. STILL the Knicks are playing tough and even when they lose it's a battle to the end. When do you start to recognize that achievement by this relatively young team? And let's not have anyone try to say that the knicks aren't a young team. You all know that the guys who are a big part of this team are in fact young and developing.

That's where you are wrong most fans didn't expect that. Nixluva how often do things go exactly right for a team throughout the yr? Heck if everything went right for LB last yr he could have coached the Knicks to the playoffs and possibly a first round advance but it didn't happen. If you were one of those fans that went into the season with that mentality then how foolish. Most fans had the team missing the playoffs, that is a fact. They got everything they wanted before the season started with the firing of LB and the hiring of ISAYUGH.

Also how often do you post negative things about the team that reflects reality?

When you have three members on your rotation out, any win is a sign of evident progress.

This is where I disagree. I don't think the three members of the rotation that are out are THAT much better than the guys that are backing them up. Thats not to say that the backups are just that good either, I think they are all pretty average players and thats why you don't see a huge dropoff when certain guys go out.

This team needs a franchise player to throw right in the middle of what we have and THEN I'd think this was a very good team because we have the role players that would be necessary for a championship type team. There just no way to get that franchise player here with no cap space and no top draft pick.

Time to stop searching for signs of progress and actually see some of it.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Real progress is when we can put more than three wins together in a row.

Evident Progress is when this thread doesn't have to keep coming up after any win.

That's how far away they are.

Evident progress is when Isiah is fired as GM.

I'd say evident progress is not having to search for silver lining but, rather, winning is the expectation and losses are assumed to be intolerable.
