lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

fish, how did you get a pic of my uncle?

ok, so he said if isiah's out, then i don't want to be here.
he's not the first player in the league to say it. and he won't be the last.
and more often than not, teams are influenced by what their bigger players say and suggest.

eddy feels he's big enough on the team to make such a statement. good for him.

DJ where's the standard of loyalty?

hey man...it's the league today. it's a player's league and they hold the orange juice card. this is what we should take from this: eddy feels he's big enough to make a statement like this. forget about what he said, but the thinking that goes behind saying it. either he said this on his own volition or was "encouraged" to speak his mind but he said it. and it's out there.

if he'd have come out & said something like "I'm the best C in the NBA", then i could understand the backlash... but you can't get on the guy for being loyal to the guy who believed enough in him to trade for him & help him to develop into a much improved player.

a reporter asked how he would feel if Isiah were fired & he answered him w/an honest answer... who cares if he has the right to say it or not... it's how he feels... doesn't mean the Knicks are handicapped to hold onto Isiah now... if Isiah's fired, they can explore trade possibilities for Curry too... he's not an untouchable commodity & there are plenty of teams out there that would be interested in him if things should go that route... so stressing over this is not necessary.

Im still trying to fine the words inthe Quote where he says he'll demand a trade and is thinking he can hold the knicks hostage. The panties seem to be riding high this morning.LOL

you'd think some of the guys on this board who regularly rag on Isiah & Curry would be overjoyed at hearing him make this kind of statement.

Sure you can, when his actions (get in shape, rebound, defend, block shots) can have a helluva lot more to do with keeping Isiah here than anything that comes out of his mouth but he chooses not to do them. Instead he takes the easy way out and starts making threatening demands like he's irreplaceable. He isn't, not even close.

Who did he threaten???? Please tell me, where it is at........
All he said was if Isiah goes, I want to go to. Where is the threat???? Do tell where the I'll force the knicks to keep Isiah of this "threat" is at.

Damn at the end of the article he says alot of will probably be traded if Isiah is gone and the new GM/coach come in.... where is the threating at???? Is that another one??? IS Curry saying he is going to get the team traded too!!!!

Boy some of you are horrible.......

It's quite interesting that people like Islesfan prefer THEIR athletes to simply STFU, grin, shuffle and just entertain them.

The idea that these are people with opinions, whether you agree or not, is too irritating to put up with. No matter what Marbury hassaid in the past, he has said it with conviction.

If Islesfan wants Curry to STFU, what would he have said about a revolutionary like Curt Flood?

Just curious

No, I prefer them to hustle, be professional, care about the team more than their individual stats and leave it all out on the field of play.

Like I said before, having an opinion and expressing it is one thing, making threatening demands are something entirely different.

Curt Flood?!?!? That's not even your usual comparison of apples and oranges, that's comparing apples to cars. Flood did something completely selfless, at the expense of his own career, to help ensure the rights of all his fellow players. How is this the same?

I dont care what he says but for Eddy Curry to say he is out if Isiah is gone is no bid deal. Not one person on the Knicks team can hold a team hostage because the Knicks arent very good. Curry is a nice offensive player and he plays no defense.

I agree. The Knicks are a bad team and every player on this roster can be traded if it makes the Knicks a better team.

I like what Curry has done this year but I still don't think things are going to work out with him being our main guy. If he wants to be traded because Isiah is fired(which he should be) then I have no problem seeing him go. The Knicks are 22-28 and this is supposed to be huge improvement? What kind of planet are we living on? The Eastern Conference is a joke and we're still 5 games under .500 in conference play. Isiah has had long enough to show what he can do as a GM, he's had 4 years and not once have we even finished above .500 under Isiah. Thats grounds for an extension?

Eddy, goodbye if you are married to Isiah Thomas.

And some of you guys thought players liked playing here because it's NEW YORK. Obviously Eddy Curry doesn't care whether he's playing in New York, as long as Isiah Thomas and his NO ACCOUNTABILITY is stationed in the Garden, Eddy loves playing for the Knicks. Thats just the way Eddy likes it and the rest of this team, NO ACCOUNTABILITY.

Great points especially the fact that we're 22-28 in a despicable conference and Eddy's thought process is completely off. He can be legally married to Isiah for all i care, but he should be playing for New York not one guy who has set the franchise back for years

anji, please stop being naive. eddy is being told he's the franchise by isiah and now steph. so for him to say "if isiah's gone, then i want to go", he directly using his stature on the team to send a message.

Isleasfan - When Flood spoke up he was labelled as an ungrateful, selfish, loudmouthed and greedy athlete who was totally out of line.

He was told to STFU many times

Eddy's showing that he has more confidence in his role on this team, & that's a good thing like dj said earlier... this is not something to be complaining about... would we all like to see Curry playing better defense & getting into better shape? of course, but that's a completely different topic... he's showing loyalty to the man who brough him here & helped to develop him as a player... nothing to bash on the guy there unless you just want to nitpick for the sake of nitpicking.

Knicks against the world

Just the way we like it

How despicable were these same guys after the Denver tussle?

Now that they bond around each other, and their coach, it is a problem

So anybody who was told to STFU for any reason can be lumped together???

I'm sure MLK was told to STFU at one point or another so I guess Eddy is just like him. Same situation, right?

Unreal.

Playing better defense and getting into better shape are not a completely different subject. Those are things that have a direct correlation with showing the improvement that will ensure that Isiah remains here. If he so desperately wants Isiah to remain, he would be doing all of those things. He isn't so his words now ring hollow.
