LOL What are the Pacers thinking? What kind of last second play is that? Knicks are so lucky.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Now we have to find out what's going on with Steph. I hope he's OK.

Bad news is you gotta figure Steph is really hurt. The guy always plays with injuries from what I recall hearing in the past, and you RARELY see him show pain. Which is all the reason to be concerned.

Of course, this injury happens just as we have started to play better in general, and he's playing the best ball of his Knick career. I REALLY hope it's not serious.

Shocking, Lee gets minutes and Lee puts up huge numbers. What does the man have to do to convince Isiah that he NEEDS to play at least 35 minutes. Anyhow, great resilency shown tonight in hanging on for this victory. After the last two heartbreaking games, and after the Pacers tied things up in the 4th, we could've collapsed but didn't. Nate tried to give it away but got lucky enough, hitting 3 of 4 free throws. Good to see him contribute something positive for once. It was close :) but we hung on and that's what matters.

Malik made some sweet veteran "chair pull" manuevers but I can't stand that he plays over Balkman. It actually really surprises me. I don't know if there's something going on with him in practice that I haven't heard about or something, but I don't understand what he has done to not merit at least a few minutes. Even Jerome saw the floor tonight.

Curry was strong on the offensive side of the floor but couldn't pull down a board tonight to save his life. Not good. That's why Lee has to be on the floor. Q is a stud and is playing much better than I ever expected. He really is a guy you gotta like. I guess now we have to worry about Marbury's knee. Without him, we're in trouble.

Good W and good night.
"It was good," Curry said. "I killed Malik, Jerome. The usual suspects. It felt good."

As I have said, this is becoming a good team, and Lee needs to play more.

I gotta admit after the past few games, it is sure hard to have faith in the Knicks being able to stop teams at the VERY end of games. We were somewhat fortunate, but so were the Pacers to have Steph get injured at that point. Would we have really comitted those 3 TO's in a row if he was in? I doubt it.

Fact is we won the game, and played better than the Pacers overall. Our defense is suspect/inconsistent and helps teams come back when we do well, but that's not exactly the most amazing observation to make these days. I don't see how anyone can watch this team these days and think that they have not improved from even earlier in the season.

A few more comments:
-Anyone who thinks Jamal should play PG, just needs to watch the final 60 seconds of this game to see what would happen.
-Eddy is beyond AWFUL at everything except low-post scoring. The Knicks pushed the lead up from 2 (or 4?) to 10 with Eddy on the bench. Eddy comes back in, JO starts scoring again, and it's back down to 2 within about 90 seconds.
-Marbury's been a true warrior. The team is screwed if he's out.

Also, I wish Lee and Balkman had max contracts...just so that they'd get the consistent playing time they deserved.

If you are referring to his play in more than just this game I find it difficult for one to make such an assertion with any kind of reasonable amount of objectivity.

Curry = 1 rebound. Pathetic.

Bad, bad ending to the game by the Knicks.

Thank God we escaped with the win.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Curry's incredibly low rebounding numbers seems odd to me because if you have watched him, even in the Nets game (not the last play) he is jumping more to grab rebounds. I've seen him really get some nice rebounds. Problem is he does not do it consistently, which is why I think his rebounding numbers are hovering around 7 a game. He still stands there waiting for the ball too much, but I do believe that lately you can see he has went for the ball more than earlier in the season.

If you don't box out, jumping isn't gonna help much
