Maybe you should read the posts you reply to? I asked who played Center Perkins/Jefferson meaning Perkins or Jefferson because I knew Gnomes wasnt the center so he wasnt currys man. I never said it was Perkins. I watched every second of that game but did not remember off hand which game people were speaking about. I thought Jeferson played very well also that game and that lineup was hardly a udbl lineup. Just more hater speak. Jefferson was a #1 pick. so was Pierce, Telfair and Allen. Piecre is a perenial MVP candidate.

You said they were a udbl team/ sorry 4 first round picks starting plus Gnomes a good 2nd round pick is not a udbl team. Telfair was just traded for a high first round pick. Pierce is a MVP candidate guy every year. But if you can bash Curry or the Knicks they are now UBDL guys. Sure. :)
Celtics are one of the worst teams in the league, and they were playing that night without Wally and Perkins, so sorry if you werent able to make that leap with me. I was suggesting that they were clearly an inferiour opponent. Telfair sucks by the way.

After reading every piece of this thread, I come away amused -- and, more important, now know why many athletes prefer not to play in New York.

I suppose all fans are like this, but it seems more than most, New York fans dwell on a player's weaknesses rather than on his strengths.

Curry got the exact same criticisms in Chicago when his rebounding and shot-blocking efficiency were actually better than now AND the team was winning (his last year). Bonn, I am defintely not comparing Curry to Ewing. In fact, I said that quite clearly:

I wrote: "Curry will never be Ewing or Shaq, but he will be a top-tier center, and will probably improve his defense and rebounding, just like he has improved his offense."

I know he's not in Ewing's class, and will never be as good as Ewing. Ewing is a top 50 NBA player, an all-time great.

All I'm saying is, the guy has made huge strides in one year, to the point where he is one of the league's top centers.

Fair enough. I just didn't like seeing the two even mentioned in the same breath. I think a player with the severe limitations that Curry has will be harshly criticized anywhere.

The only severe limitation Eddy Curry has is a huge body running off an imperfect battery.

Not here.

The only severe limitations Eddy Curry has are the people who are harshly critical of his flaws as if he should be a polished All Star player at this stage in his development.

Coming back from a potential life-threatening heart issue, I would offer the young man has grown into his new role with the young Knicks quite eeffectively.

Did I mention he's only 24 years old?

If curry played on the suns, he would have a heart attack, thats not even a joke, he is not in shape enough to run....

He gets a ton of easy looks playing for the knicks, at least 5 easy dunk or chip shots a game.....

I love the ignoartant post about other players getting fewer rebounds in a few games here and there to defend Eddy, who is undefendable

Dekembe is averaging more rebounds and blks than Eddy since Yao went down, the list is endless he is the one of the worst all around centers in the NBA, he is a great offensive player, but when he isn't the focal point he just gives up

thats just true, everyone like his offensive progression no one is hating on eddy when he is assertive, his other numbers are just downright awful, if he is supposed to lead us to a championship some day those numbers have to be there.....

Those numbers should be there, he is just lazy he is a monster with athletic ability and great athletcism anyone with is body should blk at least one shot a night

Also since everyone loves to point out Ty Thomas and his not producing, keep in mind the kid is lucky to get 15 minutes a night......

Your looking perhaps the NBAs best help defender in a couple of years...Would wather have bynum/thomas/lee than curry if it comes down to it.....

Eddy I am afraid will never assert himself on both ends of the floor, look how long it took marbury to actually bring it on defense this year, hes been terrific, but it took him almost 10 years

LOL No curry stopped us fronm getting Bynum? Where does that logic come from? The Lakers drafted Bynum before we even traded for Curry.
Ty Thomas doesnt get burn because he has been horrible in many ways. Shot blocks are 1 single stat. Does he pick up quick fouls and send other teams to the line fast because he goes after every shot like that? Thats a team without 1 real pf outside of Sweetney and PJ Brown and he still doesnt get burn. By the way for the haters that call Curry fat the truth is the Bulls coachs have said several times they have had to pull Thomas because he gets winded.

It must be nice to have tunnel vision. Not everyone is oblivious. Don't produce a ridiculous conclusion like that and state it as if it's an obvious truth. It hurts your credibility when you jump to conclusions.

Malik Rose and JJ are so insignicant that most people don't care. They're just bad contracts that we're stuck with thanks to Isiah. Curry actually plays and has many flaws that are noted. If we're building around Curry, he needs to improve if this team has a *shot* of going anywhere... EVER. Sorry if that's hating -- it's just the truth.
