Curry - kid, no college and no support system prior to NYK

Frye - kid, only 23 ..."sup White Plains?"

Jeffries - 6'11 kid who plays defense but lacks a shot

Balkman - kid who can play, contrary to Greg Anthony ragging on the kid

Crawford - intuitive kid, only seven years TOTAL of organized hoops

Quentin - kidded around with Brandy

Marbury - old kid who could rediscover what it was like to be a kid

Lee - former Florida kid

Nate - crazy kid

Isiah - Mary Thomas' kid

Jerome James - injured big kid

Kelvin Cato - designated mentor for kid (Eddy Curry)

Malik Rose - you gotta be kidding

Lee may not have a 20 foot shot but how many Power Forwards do? This argument is ridiculous.

Its not. Everybody here likes to talk about chemistry, well what kind of chemistry will you have with not one player in our front line being able to hit a jumpshot? Lee cannot start if JJ starts. It just wont work out. Now that Q is back, you can put a lineup of Curry/Lee/Q/Craw/Marbs that is balanced and can spread the floor. Replace Q with JJ in that lineup and its an offensive joke. Until Q is able to start Fryes jumpshot is key to taking pressure off of Curry.

Why in gods name would you imply that we should start Jeffries?

more than half of those guys you listed are 3's

They play both 3 and 4...which means David Lee becomes more of a defensive liability when we play those teams

Most of those guys are 4s who CAN play the 3. The point of my post was that if David Lee is playing the 3 then we're in trouble on defense. He gets in trouble A LOT when he's guarding perimeter players.

Lee has a jumpshot. Think people. Think about where he is on the floor, especially on offense. He is always hovering just outside the paint ready to crash the glass where he is among the league leaders in offensive boards and he shoots over 60%

When Lee is open he knocks that jumper down just fine, and has several times this year. Didnt he win an OT game on a 3 last year?

Is this the knock on Lee? Asking Lee to shoot more jumpers is like asking Ryan Howard to cut down on his swing so he hits more singles. It just doesnt make any sense. Lee is one of the few guys that is in a position to do what he does best.

Now that Q is back I think he should be our three after a couple games. If you want to get into whether we should have been starting Balkman over JJ, thats getting a little off topic. These past 11 games without QRich JJ or Balkman were our only two small forwards. Neither can shoot, so Frye had to start. Now that Q is back I think he needs to start at the three once he gets a couple games under his belt. Im no more of a fan of JJ then you are

Ok that being said I just want to make it clear that the lineup i'm gunning for is Marbury/Jamal/Q/Lee/Curry

Kevin Garnett
Dirk Nowitzki
Shawn Marion
Tim Duncan
Chris Bosh
Jermaine O'Neal
Pau Gasol
Andrei Kirilenko
Boris Diaw
Mehmet Okur
Chris Webber
Lamar Odom
Shareef Abdur-Rahim
Rasheed Wallace
Antawn Jamison
Antione Walker
Donyell Marshall
Robert Horry

All Power Forwards that have a pretty mean outside game....

My argument has nothing to do with Lee offensively, its Lee GUARDING the perimeter DEFENSIVELY. Lee is a PF and should not be guarding players on the perimeter. Maybe 4 guys on your list guard the perimeter defensively.

I bet you never see those 13 PF's guarding guys out on the perimeter, because their coaches DO NOT play them at a position that they can't play, which is SF.

Those guys are all good outside shooters...You think they are usually wide open on the perimeter because their defenders are usually camped under the basket??...You guard you man no matter where is is on the court...Does DLee get hives when he is beyond the five feet perimeter of the rim and backboard???
