Actually, that was supposed to say, only once in the last 30 years. The last time it happened was 1981-82, when Moses Malone and Houston finished 46-36. It's very rare; it last happened 25 years ago and like I said, only once in the last 30. Even more to the point, the last 17 MVP winners were on teams that won the division title. That's a telling sign. Kobe isn't going to get the MVP on a 7th seed team.
LeBron, Dirk or Chauncey Billups. Those are the guys you argue, if you don't think Nash deserves it.
