Taylor, Q1, Rose for Webber is the perfect trade for us. I would even add a protected first rd draft pick to seal it. Unless the player we add other than webber has a long contract to. But thats the most I would do. Anything other than that isn't worth it.

A legit 20pt scorer other than Marbury. And a legit double digit rebounder would be huge for this team. Curry would do damage with Webber taking the pressure off him. Plus he only has 2 yrs. And frees up mins especially if we slide Frye to backup Center. Which we would be able to do with Webber at PF.

i've got a great idea! let's trade our expiring contracts for an over the hill vet with injury issues who plays the same position as two of our best young players! he didn't really help the last team he played for and was kind of run out of town by the team before that, but he'll definitely solve our problems!

i would take webber in a deal where we give up two of malik, JJ, or Q, and either mo jalen or francis. i would consider buying him out as soon as we got our hands on him. we don't need him, it would be a move to get rid of long term deals.

i hope you're not implying that we have the necessary pieces to obtain a guy like Kobe Bryant... even if LA was looking to deal him, there's no way they would trade him unless they were getting back a guy like Lebron or D Wade... anything less wouldn't have a shot in hell of interesting the Lakers man.

No I am not saying we could get Kobe, I am just saying he would fit in here - as far as the pieces we have - I am saying we have enough pieces to pry a high calibur player away from a team looking to rebuild. If the Celts wanted to dump Pierce I bet we could land him.

As far as possible trade scenarios go, I dont really get into those because they are all total BS. I am just simply stating that the Knicks have more pieces to ship off then people give them credit for - fans and media included.

i disagree... i don't think we have what it would take to land a player of Kobe's calibre... the only star players we could target are guys w/either health issues, past their prime, horrible contracts, or some form of baggage... the Baron Davis's, Ray Allen's, Zach Randolph's of the world... KG would be a stretch to even hope for... forget about the Kobe's, Lebron's or D Wade's of the world.

what? Ray Allen IS part of the Kobe, Lebron and Wade of the world......I'll even put Baron Davis in that class (forget about his imjury season)....

STRONGLY disagree. right now i put wade and lebron in their own class because kobe's such a little bitch. ray's great, but he's not in their class. baron's way below that.

agreed -ray's a great player but getting old and he can't carry a team by himself like lebron/kobe can and d-wade will.

While I agree Kobe has an image problem and doesnt work with his teammates very well...the guy is a supreme talent and I dont think Lebron even comes close yet. D Wade is another story - he is a special player. I just don't buy into the Lebron hype. I think he is a great player, I just think he is taken far too seriously for a guy who has yet to prove anything outside of good stats and good sportsmanship. Would I take him on my team? Yes. Would I pick him over Kobe, probably not. In terms of being a competitor, I think Kobe is probably one of the toughest in the league if not the toughest. You cant question his heart, he wants to win.

Nobody questions lebron's heart either, and lebron took a mediocre team to the 2nd round last year and the cavs played the pistons pretty well...remember hughes was hurt a lot last year, big Z isn't what he used to be, and gooden may be pulling a kmart and putting up decent numbers because of a great passer on the team. Kobe is great too, but I'd take Lebron over him because lebron is still getting better, while Kobe is probably at his peak.

than what was that bs in the 2nd half of his last playoff game? what the hell time was that to stop scoring when he had gotten his team back into the series BY scoring. and had done so in the 1st half of that game. he chooses the 2nd half to stop scoring and expose his teammates? i thought that was unforgivably bitchy. give me lebron or wade.

wade is the real deal...he's got that killer instinct, as everyone saw in the finals. lebron has it too and i think we'll see it this year, even though i think they are still one decent low post player away from being a real threat (big Z isn't cutting it anymore).

Not in love with his game but i bet that we could get Rashard Lewis at the deadline, hopefully Francis plays very well and memphis is struggling and would like to add a free agent......

I would love to see some combination of Nate, Jalen Rose and whatever sent to seattle at the trade deadline, they are not going to get a supreme talent just because Rashard wants big money, if we can get rid of crawford and nate in the same deal, and then bring stevie or jj off the bench we would seriously make a run at the east

Marbury
Jared Jefferies/Francis takes all the minutes off the bench
Rashard Lewis/Q
Frye/Lee
Curry/JJ

That lineup has great balance.....

L.A. Lakers Trade Breakdown
Outgoing
Lamar Odom
6-10 SF from Rhode Island
14.8 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 5.5 apg in 40.3 minutes
Chris Mihm
7-0 C from Texas
10.2 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.0 apg in 26.2 minutes

Channing Frye
6-11 C from Arizona
12.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 0.8 apg in 24.2 minutes

These two deal aren't that far out of the question the Lakers get another scorer, granted we are adding payroll and Lamar disapears but the versatility of the team would be awesome, if we have to add draft pick to seatle, perhaps we can get one from LA, but that team would be a nice upgrade........

Stephon/Earl Watson
Jared Jefferies/Q
Rasard Lewis/Balkman
Odom/Lee
Curry/Mihm

IR: Collins, Rose, Rose

You def lose a little youth but curry, lee, jj, lewis and odom are all young enough that a lot of payroll but they would sell out
