There is no way Jalen does not see pt. The guy that might be the odd man out is Nate or Balkman. Jalen and James will be in the rotation one way or another

[Edited by - BigC on 07-18-2006 4:00 PM]

I agree but a lot of people are expecting Nate & Balk will be part of the rotation because they fit the system Isiah is implementing better...so which one is it lol?

Balkman might get some pt during blowout games or a few game do to injuries but he will not be part of the major rotation. As far Nate he might have hated Larry but Isiah might not play him either. Or not until Francis is traded.

personally, i'm willing to bet that Balkman is challenging for the starting SF spot by the Allstar break.

wow, them some fightin' words.

Hmmm, that's true... we should hold a side bet on this one.

hey, i'm fine w/putting my money where my mouth is... i take it you're willing to bet that Balkman will be nothing more than a D League starter by the Allstar break too then?

I'm down, we know jRose is adios, and the only question if QRich...and to be specific, he said challenging not starting

There is no doubt in my mind that he will be challenging QRich for starting 3 honors.

If Al Harrington comes to the knicks, Qrich AND jrose are gone.

Not with Isiah as the GM, no I won't make that bet. I'd be willing to bet that he's not getting major minutes, though... and not challenging for a starting spot.

ok, how about we use 20 mpg as a parameter... if he's averaging that many minutes by the Allstar break, then i win... if he's averaging less, then you win... sound good?

no way he AVERAGES 20mpg by then, I believe the bet is Challenging at the all star break, wouldn't that mean 20 mpg from that point forward?

Deal. 20 mpg sounds fair. What's the wager?

i'm just using crzymdups' estimate as a parameter... it's not unreasonable to say that a player would have to average at least 20 mpg to be challenging for a starting spot.

Sounds fair. Remind me to send you my paypal information after the AS game. Or you could make it easy on yourself and just pay ahead of time. I also collect 12% interest per day on late payments. *rawr*

but for the entire season leading up to that point? I guess that makes sense...he's going to start out slow, but everyone points to frye averaging 25 mpg and saying that was FANTASTIC for a rookie, and now we have a rookie entering the season 3rd on the depth chart averaging 20 mpg by the all star break?

Balkman will see the court. Isiah is going to need to win games, not appease lazy veterans.

I've looked at history and it's not a suckers bet, it actually makes a ton of sense and I officially sanction this bet as a possibility.

Go for it fellas.

Wizards Plan On Retaining Jeffries, Show Interest In Stevenson
19th July, 2006 - 9:01 am
Washington Times - The Wizards, according to Ivan Carter, plan to retain restricted free agent guard-forward Jared Jeffries.

They also have expressed interest in free agent DeShawn Stevenson, who recently turned down a three-year, $10 million offer from the Orlando Magic . [READ]

if this is the case, we better sign Jackie B.
