I bet Isiah would have too if he could have. Why on earth would Chicago have given up what could have been the #1 pick in the draft for David Lee? You don't have to buy everything Briggs says

Bonn, every time I read your posts I keep thinking of someone just waking up and not having heard anything that has ever been spoken before. Over and over.

Ditto on the Bonn theory. I love Bonn (not sexually, sorry Bonny), but sometimes he just acts like a gay robot that accidentally had its RAM cleared and hard drive wiped.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Thanks for bringing that discussion back Solace. I just realized Martin still hasn't answered the purple sky question!

I'm trying to dumb down a response so everyone can understand.

I think Isiah thought it was a good risk to take, because that risk was worth as much as an player to the Bulls. Curry is about as good as anybody in this draft so right now the trade is 50/50. BUt giving up another top 5 pick would make the trade a terrible one..... so that's where the knicks stand on the Curry deal right now.

Mitigating factors aside, it was a ****ty risk. Period. A top-3 lottery selection can net you a player better than Curry either through the draft or a trade. We gave up much more. And as you pointed out, if we end up geting suckered next year as well, it'll be all the more horrendous.
What players better than curry can it net you?

Sebastian got Portland the 7th pick. What was the #2 pick worth this year?
Here's how a Bulls fans is looking at the Curry trade:
"With the cap space coming from not giving curry a 8mil a year contract. So if we sign say Nene for that 8 mil deal it'd be Nene, Ty Thomas, Sweetney, Viktor and the 07 Swap for Curry. A heartwarming topic these always are."

Maybe they sign Nazr. MAybe JAckie Butler. Maybe Seatle doesnt match a big offer to Wilcox. Pretty crazy what that Curry trade did for them
