The Jerry Stackhouse suspension is some serious bull****. Does Miami have some pictures of Stern with Marv Albert and a burro?

oohah
Are you serious??? They suspended Stack? That's absurd! It was just a tough hard foul--nothing that Charles Oakley wouldn't do every fifteen minutes!

Can't tell if you're joking or serious but maybe in an 8th grade girls basketball competition a suspension would be warranted, but these are supposed to be tough men

YOu wouldn't know a tough man unless one came up from behind you and........Oh never mind.
Oak was a different era with different rules.

Bottom line is that the league wants the Heat to win. For what reason, I don't know... but thats' crap. If a player got suspended every time they made a hard foul, the finals would be a 3 on 2 game. Give me a break.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Shaq and Wade can be marketted as Magic and Kareem Part II! People love a story of a big man and a gaurd teaming up especially when they're at different parts of their careers and can each learn from each other. Dirk can be marketted only as the big goofy German clown! Which is gonna bring in more $$$? hmmmm

oh you guys!! you got like mavanoia!! rememebr when the league wanted the spurs to win, just because, oh, jason terry punched a guy in his freakin' cajones!! and now, you might not like the call, but a guy wind up and lays wood on another guy's face, he might miss the next game. that's it.

i think dirk is a glamour boy in the league right now, just like steve nash. josh howard is a rising star. devin harris is an exciting young player. avery is a top young coach and a feel-good story. i don't think the league has anything against this team. cuban's antics only add to p.r. and rising public interest.

If the league has any motive it is in a 7 game series more than any one player. However, the big marketing payoff is in Dwyane Wade.

All I want is consistency in these calls. It seem to depend a lot on who is getting layed out, and who is doing the laying out.

This could fire up the Mavs.

I hope you guys aren't suggesting that Dirk doesn't have as much street cred as Shaq and Wade in appealing to the hip-hop consumer generation?

Copping an oversized "Nowitzki" and pumping Hasselhoff from your ride is definitely gonna be gangsta. Ain't nothing Stern can do about that.

'toine gets his props when he cuts down on the ballhandling, chucking and turnovers, hits the boards more and cuts to the rim to give others a target. which has been in my mind about 50% of the time this series. he was dreadful in game 1 and pretty much in 3, decent in 2 and 4.

so i'm imagining how good he could still be as a player if he stuck to his strengths ALL the time instead of 50%. but it's still better than it could have been, and his team is tied. so i'll give him that.

So where does the series go from here?

Is this gonna be one of those series where homecourt rules throughout? WIll Dallas blow them out again in Texas or was Miami slow out of the gate with Wade having the flu?

I don't really know about tonight. I have a feeling Miami may still hold serve at home tonight, and if they can go up 3-2 they will have been well served by the 2-3-2 format of the series.

However I also sense that Dallas will have a huge game at home on Tuesday, probably a blowout, which would set up a dramatic game 7 in Dallas.

But if Dallas wins tonight in Miami the series is over. No way Miami will win 2 in a row in Dallas.

Oh Marv,

Give the guy a break. He's been better than you are giving him credit for, and he's been doing all of those good things you mentioned more. He's been under control and stepped up when needed to.

ah, 29 of 70 from the field this month with a 1 to 1 assist turnover ratio. I'm not sure you wanna be posting that game log!
