mck1 - they should ALL care. My individual choices are more about fitting complimentary pieces. Quentin, for all his personal struggles does not have a skill-set that I am in love with.

His outside shot (only 35% last season) is his major weapon on offense. I would rather have a three who can do work from inside. His does not match up favorably against the elite players at the position.

I like his rebounding and would play Q Rich at the two guard. He is what he is. I'd rather see what 6'8 Qyntel can develop into.

Woods did settle into the SF spot, and Q primarily played SG.

taking the hypothetical that the same roster were to return I think the competition at each spot (based on the competitions I saw last year) would be

Crawford/Marbury
QR/Francis/Nate
Woods/Lee/Rose (as an expiring contract he's gone)
Frye/Mo/Malik
Curry/Butler/James

well that will be tough to sell fans. I know when you have some young guys, you need to stick with the guys, but there was a serious chemistry issue with this team. for instance toronto lost 19 games where they had a lead in the 4th Q--you can see where they could keep most of the guys together and by adding here or there--they can change it around. the knicks were smothered so many times, they didnt show that keeping the status quo might be a smart thing-especially when we gave away two lottery picks and players.

i dont know what to say, but i guess if isiah is put inncharge of this same roster and we end up with 31 wins, he can high tail it out next--and that is something the organization needs.
