I just have a vision of all our players coming into camp and getting down on a knee to kiss the hands of Isiah.

"Thank you, godfather."

I belive Dolon = Fredo

so exactly how much are we going to pay for al harrington?

enough to where Atlanta is in the playoffs, Billy Knight wins GM of the year, and Paxson is once again at the dias with NY's top 5 pick.

and Eddy Curry will be 24

the future looks grand

Shouldn't we just let Marbury coach the team?

coach? coach? we talkin' bout no set plays man. we talkin' bout no set plays...

Boston has won the division and made the playoffs 2 of Danny's 3 years.

all while getting younger and more athletic and cutting payroll. you're right bonn, the Zeke way is clearly better .

hol you're right nothing could be better than this. Once the team is 10 under come December, no way Dolan re-ups isiah.

Come on bro...Where's the love...Isn't it time we kiss and make up after all our bitter disputes..I must say, this day rivals the Patrick Ewing draft pick for me...I can't remember being so excited for a Knick event in the off season in recent memory...YES!!!

are you Steph's kin or something?

Brown made irrepairable mistakes with our players and management. I predicted this on another forum and just have a weird feeling that Zeke can manage the ego's here, much better. Some of the players here (Nate, Steph, JC) really look up to Isiah, because of what he's accomplished on the floor as a player. I think he's going to commmand a different type of respect from these guys. He's been in the trenches, played hurt, been a star. When he says he's been there and done it, he means literally. Not from the bench, not as coach who's perceived by some as an egomaniac. Or a guy who jumps ship, whenever the mood suits. Everything stops with Isiah, this is make or break time.

Good move? Long term, I'm not sure. I'd bet the house that we improve by leaps and bounds next season though.

Tell me, does this mean Q, Jamal, Malik, Butler, Q2, Lee, Robinson, and Frye are gone? I would suspect those are 8 of the possible 7 guys that didn't blame LB (I know the young guys wouldn't-Lee, Frye, Nate, Butler, Q2)

I'm still hoping they ship out both Brown and Marbury, and bring in a different coach (not Isiah) but if this is true I'll bet Marbury stays.

If so, there may be a kind of justice to all this. Maybe Isiah should have to coach the roster he has put together. Let's see how well the legendary relationship between Isiah and Marbury translates to winning games.

Most of all, the Show must go on!

from what i hear, and don't quote me on this, but lenny wilkens and don chaney were pretty good guards as well.

but a guy that's humble like isiah who will kiss his players ass is exactly what the doctor prescribed.

I'm expecting a big improvement next season also....but this to me signals accepting mediocrity.....4-5 years of 1st or 2nd round payoff exits as suposed to maybe being ready to compete for a championship in 3 or 4.

The great thing about Isiah as coach is: He can't fire himself!

What scares me is that he gets to hire himself.

NY Daily News
"The Knicks are going to have to make changes because there is no way Larry can walk into the locker room with this same group," one source said then. "He lost a lot of those guys and he's not going to win them back."

We were fooling ourselves into beliveing Francis, Marbury and the rest of these big contracts could be unloaded without being hosed.

With that said, It's much easier to rid the Knicks of the one obvious diseased-growth that grew out of the knicks head-coaches-bench as opposed to controlling and cleaning up the supposed mess that occupied the hardwood beneath the lowered MSG roof.

Isiah put this circus together, now, similar to Riley, he needs to roll up his sleeves, put this mess on his shoulders. This is Isiah's final chapter with the Knicks....let him write his own ending.

BTW, I'm a knick fan first, regardless of who occupies the bench or who wears the blue and orange.....I can't understand people saying they want to turn in their tickets because Brown might be fired.....

The bottomline is turning this thing around...

Well, I am hoping it does. Unless he likes to lose!

That could very well happen.

But honestly, we're not at a level to compete with Detroit or San Antonio at this point. Groom the team, get competitive (make the playoffs) and gain solid playoff experience. Maybe we'll be ready to make a push, when these teams are fizzling out? The type of talent we'd need to being in, in order to really compete now, is just asking for a miracle anyhow. With the cap/player situation we're in now, what more can we ask for? As crazy as it may sound, I think this is a positive change. Brown was just pissing into the wind with these guys imho.

Good riddance! LB was a failed experiment. He and Isiah can't coexist and should have never tried to do it. Both are headstrong. Let Isiah coach and see what we have. I believe this group is capable of 45 wins. Let's see.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

If they're going to fire Brown, they might as well let Isiah coach the team because objectively no coach can last longer than one season with Isiah as GM (Chaney, Wilkens, Williams, Brown - 4 coaches in 2 1/2 years)

A failed experiment??? IT WAS ONE YEAR, we cant keep changing coaches like this.ITS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. Our franchise is an absoulte joke. I say let Larry stay and try to turn things around. As we all know he's notorious for slow starts
