oh I agree thats why I listed miami, phoenix, detroit, dallas, spurs and the lakers because they rebuilt in only 1-2yrs and didn't list the Clippers and the Bulls who took years. there are many ways to build a good team but you need cap flexibility and picks to have a chance. Right now we have none

Guns. The difference between what your saying and what I'm saying is that your listing teams that are good and made the playoffs. I want teams that won championships. Again, the Spurs didn't rebuild. They lost their key player due to injury and were lucky enough it happened the same year a All-Time player was in the draft. Championships.

but what about Phoenix, denver, milwaukee. wouldn't you rather be in there situation then where we are now? or tear the team down, tank and land the next duncan, lebron, wade?

I don't know where the Knicks come into this... All I was asking was how many teams have rebuilt and won a championship in 5 years. It's a general question, has nothing to do with the Knicks.

but why would you care when its clear only the Spurs have? all the other teams are trying to get capspace and draft picks so they can catch the Spurs. we are going in the wrong direction

Man, don't sweat it. Nobody saw this coming. This is just everything blowing up in everybodies face. No real explanation for this really. I would like to say, oh IT is the one to blame, but you know what, I'd get Brown and trade for Curry, too.

So, ohnestly, this is just bizzare. We just have to let this season go, and let go of the lottery pick, accep Curry as the lottery pick, etc.

nyk4ever,

When a team is "rebuilding" they are not doing so until they win the championship.

When you say "Dallas has been rebuilding forever" your standards are set pretty darn high. The Mavs have been a winning team for a few years now, and I would hardly consider them to be rebuilding. The same goes for Miami now, too.

Of course the goal of every team is to win the title, but how many teams have won the NBA Championship lately??

Spurs, Pistons, Lakers, Bulls, Rockets.

That's 5 teams since 1990, out of close to, or now up to, 30 teams. It's just not going to happen to every team, even good and very good ones.

If you think teams are "rebuilding" until the win the title, then everyone except the Spurs is "rebuilding." Or is there some kind of cut-off date for no-longer "rebuilding" after winning the title too?

I mean c'mon man...

You forgot the part about RV wanting to draft Frye and Fish wanting Diogu over Frye. How did that work out?

How about be just forget who predicted what and just move on?

I think its fare to say that NOBODY expeced us to be THIS BAD!

It is a horrible time to be a Knick fan in general right now, considering nowadays my freinds who don't even know bball are talkin smack about the Knicks cause they are such a joke, I say we stick to our miserable bortherhood LOL.

Ike missed all of camp and the first month of the season with a broken hand but he's played very well. I'm not sure what your point is. Bonnie... your the one around here with the desperate need to be right at all costs. Sometimes what you see really is what you get eh?

More importantly these rookies have been in the league for 20 games. There is a good chance that the rookie that has the most productive career is struggling to get minutes right now. Man we judge so quickly

Nah, I've admitted to plenty of mistaken predictions. You're the one rubbing it in other's (here RV's) face every time he was wrong and you were right. Not sure why you're bringing up all the excuses for Ike. You really think he'd be outperforming Frye (rookie of the month, ROY candidate, etc.)? There's nothing wrong with admitting RV was right and you were wrong about the lottery pick just like you were right and RV and I were wrong about the MLE. (I'd rather be wrong about an MLE than a lottery pick decision, though)

show me where I rub anything... I've never done it. Ive never said I told you so, and Ive never said crap like "this is coming from someone that predicted bla and bla" like some people. Go back and check, Granger and Ike were my favorite players in the draft. See, here's the thing. I dont have a double standard. On a side note why would I be wrong about the lottery pick? Have you seen Granger or Ike play?

If you weren't rubbing it in his face that his predictions were wrong and yours were right, what exactly were you doing with this?

its got nothing to do with me being right. I could care less. More importantly I would love nothing more than to write a long drawn out letter detailing in 1000 ways why rv is right and I dont know crap. That would mean we actually had some hoops worth watching.

The reason I posted that is because this guy spewed hate towards myself and Isles, simply because we called it like we said it. Now the guy doesnt want to post anymore. I guess you fail to see the irony.

I'm kinda with Fish on this one. I got a lot of heat as well for not being overly excited about this team. I don't think Fish is trying to attack RV. He's just trying to convince people like you, Isiah and Dolan that we are headed in the wrong direction

I met guns! We are both happy guys! So is Bip, so is fish... but last night I hit an all time low that even the Layden teams didnt stoop me too. Knicks are down about 50 in the 2nd qtr so during a commercial I'm flipping through the HBOs looking for some skin during the intermission. Some how I must have dawdled too long on Jersey Girl. Mrs. Fish walks in says "oooh! Can we watch this?"
Yes.. thats right. I choose the chick flick over watching the Knicks which was upsetting my stomach. I tuned in later and the final score reaffirmed my choice

Well you should be proud of yourself for checking back in. I spent the time helping my wife to complete a baby album for her parents, WITH THE TV OFF, and I didn't care. For the record I Tivo'd it and will watch the rest later today.
