Trevor STARIZA. Remember the name, fellas!

Time for a homegrown Knick to get on the map.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

ARIZA is the absolute WORST dribbler at the 3 in the entire league. The guy can't pound the ball on the floor more than twice without having to pick it up. Until he gets a handle this thread is completely premature.

He's only the worst dribbler in the league because JYD got Houston'd.

now that's what I'm talking about.

prediction: starting lineup wednesday: marbs, craw, reezy, curry, frye.

I'm just guessing on craw, but it just feels right.

and somehow pointing out such an obvious flaw makes you a hater or dogging your own players. Ariza is awesome, I love the kid. Also so long as we have size up front and playmakers in the backcourt a long rangy blue collar guy like Ariza is perfect for this team. Just because he's only 20 doesnt mean his #'s or skills are growing exponentially every year he's in the NBA

working down on wall street, the kool aid wears off...his 50% free throw shooting and lack of assists (indicative of his lack of ball handling) lead me to table this until the end of the season.

Damn these rose colored glasses!

although marion was probably ahead of ariza offensively at the same point in their careers, i would hardly call marion a monster back then...

forget about pros, I'm talking about college players. If you saw Marion in college, or Igodala you would see what I am talking about. If anything Ariza is BEHIND those guys, not ahead. Maybe he eventually catches them but it appears he's got to learn skills that those guys had when they were recruited out of HS
How's he behind Marion when he's more productive on both ends of the court at age 20 than Marion was at age 21?
are you serious? are you serious? Marion was a monster at UNLV and by his 2nd year in the pros he was like 18/10.
You're not disputing anything I said. You're just providing info. about Marion in the NBA after the point I was referring to.
Get real.
Sorry; I didn't realize how much I was getting under your skin. Take a break; grab a beer; find a woman or something.

You're using the same arguement over and over, and it's not true. Marion was freaking awesome in his first rookie year. The guys who are superstars now had these skills since junior high school. Marion, Richard Jefferson. They just needed to be polished, particularly for Jefferson. But Ariza has VERY LITTLE skills. He's not a go to offensive player, and he's not the phyical monsters that Jefferson and Marion are and were. I think the Marcus Camby comparisons are actually excellent, which is a real good thing. Wouldn't you like another guy like that, except he gets more steals than blocked shots. This is the exact player Ariza is like. There's nothing wrong with it. He's not a go to player. A young go to player is Eddie Curry, eventually Frye. Those guys have skills and can put the rock in the hole at any given point. Can you really see Ariza being as good as Jefferson or Marion? I don't for now. I see him as a real good core player who's gonna help us win games down the road, and can be a valueable piece to a championship contending team. Not the friggin' anchor or the go to guy who carries the team on his shoulders!

You do realize that Ariza was a high rated senior in HS?

Be quiet. We're not allowed to predict any improvement in any aspects of Ariza's offensive skills. 20 year olds don't improve. Fish said it earlier.

Don't you get it Fish, if one person breaks out into a star at age 22 then it stands to reason that a 20 year old with inferior skills will automatically be expected to make that same jump by the time they're 22.

In fact, my 2 year old nephew is already dribbling a basketball better than Marion did when he was 2 so it stands to reason that he will break out into a 18/10 NBA player when he turns 22.

rv, you have to improve 5 levels just to get to stupid.

does it really matter who's better than who?!?!?!

i mean come on fellas, this is a stupid argument.

ariza is 20 years old and he's putting up good #'s without a single play called for him. his entire game is built on hustle and he makes an impact on the game.

is he a star? is he an all star? is he the next matrix? WHO GIVES A FLYING F CK!!!

HE'S OURS ALREADY!!!! let's just sit back and watch him develop.

shawn marion is a 10x better player than robert horry, yet horry has all the bling. who cares?!?!?

and here comes islesfan with a useless post...atleast he's consistant. If you left off that last sentence, the post would have been pretty good...but, you had to end it like a prick.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I apologize for saying for over a year now that Trevor is a lot like Marcus Camby (Who BTW, I've been begging to get back for 3 years now) and have come to realize that is quite an insult to Trevor b/c afterall, Marcus Camby type players are TERRIBLE and no team would want any part of them.

Please. Maybe we can dumb it down a little more so that my child who hasn't even been conceived can read this stuff.
