The difference is that the Lakers turned a championship level team into a lottery team in a 12 month period by doing everything wrong. Isiah never had the kind of assets to work with that the Lakers had just 12 months ago. Based on what they had 12 months ago, they should be way ahead of us and should even be mentioned as a comparison in the same sentence. Yet due to their terrible decision making, they are.

with only 9-10 people under contract, not re-signing Ariza, not using the LLE or MLE the next 2 yrs we will be under the cap, but that is decieving. So, saying we dump marbs now, we would have 10 people under contract next yr(while still being over the cap). You really think we wont sign anyone to fill those 5 holes and that those 5 players salary wont add up to at least 10+mil? thereby making it so we cant sign a max player. we wont be under the cap, you have to dump more than marbs.

wrong... Knicks would be at $48 with JJ. Take out JJ and pick up the rookie contracts and your even. Dump Marbury and Rose and your about $24mm under. I think we could squeeze Ariza in there just fine

let's offer Howard Eisley a full MLE contract next year...i think it could possibly work out to be a great move on Isiah's part...while we're at it, let's trade away TT's expiring deal along w/our 1st rounder next season for Raef LaFrentz...i think he could possibly be a great addition to the Knicks...if we do this right, we can have an awesome team of career scrub players w/bloated contracts that every Knick fan can be proud of...God knows LB will want nothing more than to coach them i'm sure...Isiah's the man...stop whining fish.

Yea I saw how well they did it last year as we got outrebounded and pushed around by everyone. At least JJ is a legit size center. All I can say is the proof will be in the pudding this year.(no puns about JJ's or sweetney's spoons also)Next year one of us can say I told you so.
