It doesn't hurt? You're paying him for 5 seasons or until he's 35. Having old dead weight on your bench at $5M per isn't a good thing unless you buy into Isiah's claim that the salary cap is irrelevant.

Yeah, the cap is irrelevant.. until you want to go to a Knicks game and you realize you have to mortgage your house to do it. Then, to make matters worse, they put an inferior product on the floor. The draft and the signings were for one purpose... to appease the fans, try to make an exciting team. But an exciting team doesn't equal a winning team.

So if the Knicks trade away picks they get criticized but if they acquire talented young players in the draft they're still criticized for just appeasing the fans? What exactly did you want them to do on draft night?

My koolaide is Nate is a blast to watch, Lee and reezy are crowd favorites! Frye will struggle a bit, but will prevail over time.

Bottom line, I will watch this team not for wins, but for this cast of youth to be Jellin'!

IT think 1968! Walt, Cazzie, Bill were all first or second year. Debussure was 25 when he got here. Willis was 26-27 yrs old. Mike Reridan was also just drafted. Barnett was the Vet.

I cannot remember any other time the Knicks had such a young team. Guys who will develop into solid NBA players at the same time. I really want LB, not to win a ring (although I'd welcome it with open arms) but to teach these young eager guys how it;'s suppose to be done and also to teach discipline....something the Knicks haven't had in years and years.

Meanwhile 25 year old Swift goes for the MLE, and Rahim is about to. Donyell Marshall will probably as well. These are guys that will give their teams great prodduction for $5-$6mm a year.

JJ just isnt worth it. Its another contract we are now locked into for 3-4 years. We are a 30 win team. This isnt the final piece, and this isnt some great movable commodity that we can move at any time.

Look at the market being set, and look where the Knicks are in it
