Philly or OKC? Or PG just holding out for the no-trade?

This is why the Knicks should have a strict “No Divas” policy.

Have always liked this guy but really makes me wonder why he rode bench for Pacers behind both Jackson/Toppin,

He is interesting.

His overall defensive metrics leave much to be desired.

Genuinely asking, did any Pacers player have a positive defensive metric? They were the epitome of the “team that scores the most points has the best defense” approach by both pace and floor spacing. They released players early to be advantageous on the open court regularly. Defensive metrics are highly correlated by team defense. Would love to see an article on him that already did that work.

This was my first thought / hope that maybe he’s not as bad on D as #s may indicate.

I wonder if part of Thibs success with centers/D is that he simplifies scheme, emphasizes D and keeps things simple with little change so players understand task at hand.

I don’t really know on Smith other than he has some offensive tools.

I guess Atlanta was more concerned about avoiding the luxury tax going forward. Ingram should be on the move somewhere but where? Maybe Houston makes sense as they can send back Steven Adams and a young guy to match salary.

Going by the moves so far, this is setting up to be a blockbuster summer.

Seemed like a small return for Dejonte which may indicate league not as high on him as I am - wonder if his off court has any issues.

If maxing out on contract opportunity makes a player a diva, then what does it make OG?

I thought several months ago that we had a chance to get him at the deadline for Grimes and three first rounders.
I thought we should have done it too.

No telling if Dejounte arriving in February brings up a chip, but Grimes -> Bojan -> Mikal worked out well.

Injuries probably still bite us come June, so I'm guessing Dejounte would not have made a difference last season.

Dejounte is very good but DDV did a hell of a job and agree, our injurie limited our path.

Knicks Decline To Extend $6.3M Qualifying Offer To Precious Achiuwa

The New York Knicks have decided not to extend the $6.3 million qualifying offer to Precious Achiuwa, which will make him an unrestricted free agent. The Knicks have interest in re-signing Achiuwa, but doing so at $6.3 million would have made a major impact on their ability to stay under the hard cap.

In 49 games after he was acquired by the Knicks from the Toronto Raptors, Achiuwa averaged 7.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists.

Happy for Obi. Also, a clear example why we couldn’t keep him.

If Obi is worth a $20M AAV, the OG is worth a $60M.
