When the Knicks win it because of his teammates.

Makes perfect sense now.

Anyone have this week's MVP rankings?

I'm sure Carmelo is in the top 3 again.

Current Rankings
Rank Status Player
1 -- Kevin Durant
2 Carmelo Anthony
3 LeBron James
4 -- Zach Randolph
5 -- Kobe Bryant
6 -- Chris Paul
7 -- Deron Williams
8 -- Tony Parker
9 -- Jrue Holiday
10 NR Stephen Curry

LAST WEEK: 25.7 ppg | 4.7 rpg | 3.0 apg
A finger injury that required stitches cost Anthony a shot to square off against the Heat on TNT Thursday night, but the Knicks handled business without their catalyst -- their second smackdown of the defending champions in the last month. Anthony's last 10 games have been similar to Durant's in scoring (28.8), rebounding (5.9) and in the win column (7-3) as the Knicks have answered any lingering questions about their legitimacy.

I always knew Melo was more valuable than Lebron!

At the moment he is. Lebron is still the best player in the league, but Melo's definitely more valuable to his team.

Nice.

All the guys who said it was too early to talk MVP after 2 games might want to go back and delete their posts.

Almost a quarter of the way into the season, and there's been no letdown at all.

Still confused as to what point you're trying to make.

Basically anything to lower Melo's value. Earlier it was Mayo or Jamal Crawford lol.

Lol he didn't sniff that against us. He did almost have a triple double (9 turnovers) so I'll give him credit there.

still goin' strong.
the MVP race is going to be between Melo, LeBron and Durant unless the Lakers somehow manage to turn it around, then Kobe's in discussion as well.

Not to pick on Kobe, because he's playing great, it's the team record that sometimes unjustifiably puts a player out of contention.

I'm just glad we aren't talking about putting Deng or AI on the team and the team being the same.

Because DAT DAT DAT DAT was just stupid.

AI?

According to TKF, AI was a solid addition to that Denver team.

If that does not show his insanity, I uh um

never mind

You're right.

A poor or mediocre record almost automatically excludes a player from the race, no matter how dominant they are statistically.

On the flip side, fairly good statistics with a good record can catapult you into the race (Stephen Curry).

As mentioned earlier, the key ingredients are all star type of numbers meshed with a solid team record.

Andre Iguodala

Basically saying any small forward would have the team at .750 right now.

Yes. His wet dream.
