Agree on Soriano. Great move. Cash is one of the best GMs in baseball. Comes off very smart and savvy and just always seems to go about roster tweaking & making additions the right way -- even if some of his moves haven't worked out in the past, you can always clearly see why he made certain moves and where he was going.. Always felt good about Cash running this team. The man deserves a shout every once in awhile..
Congrats to Ichiro -- 4000. That's some milestone. WOW. Mike Francesa poo-pooing Ichiro's hits in Japan, implying they shouldn't count toward the HOF, that technically he only has 2000-something hits in the US. Whatever man...What's wrong with this guy? Give credit where credit's due and move in. Idiot..As if Ichiro wouldn't have racked up a ton more hits in the US if he would've started his career in MLB as a 18-19 year old instead of Japan...Come on guy..He's older now and winding down but the man DOMINATED ML pitching for a long stretch in Seattle..
Pineda supposedly was shut down a few weeks back with "shoulder stiffness." I agree it's very disappointing -- I thought he just completed a successful rehab stint not too long ago??? Was really looking forward to seeing him this year but it doesn't seem likely. Maybe in September as an expand-the-roster call-up but you get the feeling it'll be next year. 
Nice little move acquiring David Huff. Another lefty for the pen. Looks like he's got some experience starting games with the Indians too. He can matchup against lefties and he's another guy to go along with Warren that could give us some length if need be. Not bad.
We'll really have to evaluate this Mark Reynolds move on the fly -- excellent low risk/high reward move if he can add more punch but if this guy starts pulling a Rob Deer fanning all the time and not having productive ABs he might have to go -- might have to go back to playing Overbay full-time at 1B and we might be better off calling the kid Adams back up for infield/bench depth. Jeter starting yet another rehab assignment tonight -- really hope there's no more setbacks. We need him to be ready to go the rest of the way..

Mike Fatincessant is an A-grade douchebag. He can't retire soon enough. 10 consecutive 200 hit MLB seasons, most hits in a single MLB season ever... what would have been different if he was in the MLB the whole time anyway? I don't even bother listening to WFAN anymore, at all.
Exactly..I never listen to Francesa anymore -- haven't really since the Dog left. Such a pompous, arrogant prick, I swear -- the worst kind of people in the world to listen to and deal with on any level from my experience... The only reason I was listening today was because the game was in a rain delay and YES cut away to Francesa's show during the delay. I chose to listen because he was talking Yankees, Ichiro specifically....I couldn't believe what he was saying -- the man's half-assed campaign against Ichiro's time in Japan was rediculous. Francesa made no sense whatsoever. Instead of lauding the man for a stellar career and hitting an unusual, rare milestone, he chose to pour gas on a fire. Actually light a fire first outta nowhere, then pour gas on it. I mean here we are, the team's playing well, we're inching back in the wild card race, Cash has made some great moves and then one of our better players reaches a phenomenal milestone, and he poo-poos it completely. His entire argument made no sense for one simple reason -- we're not talking about some everyday player here dummy -- we're talking about Ichiro Suzuki! DOESN'T MATTER that he played his 1st 9 years in Japan, in the States or on Pluto -- this man would've hit no matter where he played!! Duh...We all know Japanese ball is a cut below MLB. No argument. But for this particular guy, it doesn't matter -- he would duplicated that production over here if he would've started here! Never more tempted to call in and talk to this man before today...There's no question in my mind, based again on this specific player WHO'S NO ORDINARY PLAYER, that he would've been well over 3000 hits, very close to 4000 if not right there like he just got to, if he started his career in the US rather than Japan. Wake up -- DOESN'T MATTER, Mikey!!!! He's that good a hitter -- always has been -- and his long stretch in a Mariners uniform proves the theory correct...Then a caller calls up and mentions Ichiro being ROY in 2001. Francesa first said he was against Ichiro being ROY at the time because of his Japanese experience, but then for today's argument he switches gears, pulls a 180 and says his time in Japan doesn't mean a thing.. Huh? LMAO! Which is it buddy? Laughable. Moron even said it proves/strengthens his argument. How do ya figure?? It makes him a hypocrite!! Then throws it out there that he doesn't want to discuss Ichiro anymore, that he "can't spend all day on it." Hysterical. What if your callers want to talk about it you friggin' jerk? Your callers make your show...LOL. Unbelievable. What Ichiro did was a BIG DEAL. God forbid this fool acknowledged it.
