Hughes should go to the bullpen IMHO. Kuroda may not make the playoff roster if he can't get his **** together consistently. Andy is pitching great, but will it last? There are no locks in our rotation after CC. That's my point.

Gardner is coming back but someone else will get injured. Of course we could always use another pitcher but it would cost too much to get another #3 starter.

Matt Garza is on the radar. As of right now the rotation is looking solid, especially after Kuroda's performance against the Muts tonight.

Gardy is the thing that runs down the hits that Raul watches land in left right now and turns them into routine fly outs. He also scores from first on bunts, but I don't exactly see him as a "bat".

Hughes just pitched a complete game, you really want him moved to the pen?

Is it me, or is all of MLB at such a mediocre ebb (with the exception of us, Texas and the Bronx Dodgers aka Mattingly's boys) that it seems almost everyone's playing .500 ball?

Cano's sometimes inexplicable inept fielding is aggravating at times, but the man can just flat out hit. I think that homer would have put a hole in the MetApple. That would have been hilarious.

I struggle with your definition of his inept fielding. He makes amazingly difficult plays look easy, almost nonchalant. Maybe that is where your impression is coming from. He has only 4 errors at the halfway mark. How do you characterize that as inept?
