Gotta feeling Bridges is reason 1 or 1A why Thibs is no longer here.

Its one thing to go to the games in person, perhaps watch them on TV. But to truly know a player and what he is really made up in inside, living 52 or so miles really gives an intimate insight to the player! That is awesome to share. If only scouts and coaches had just known this think of the time and money you could have saved them! Your keen clairvoyancy is a remarkable divine gift that we are so blessed that you share. To think I have underestimated you all this time when all we had to know was your geographic proximity that legitimatizes it all.

You live in Georgia now? If so, you are know doubt the leading authority on all things Porzingis and the ATL hawks!!!! Do tell, get your "Miss Cleo" thing on and speak it!!!

Wow! And to think the rest of us had to read his quotes and frustrations when all you had to do was "Feel it".
Truly you are gifted.

Begley with a small note that the Knicks are still considering Shamet for the final spot

reading conflicting "rumors" if one can even call it about Westbrook. Be fun to see him and josh on the court at the same time but can they shoot the ball?

I liked the way Shamet came on last season. That quick release and small margin he can create space with was fun to watch. I'd think his catch and shoot would appeal to what Brown wants to do. Rest of his game? He is decent defender with quick feet but very slight build can be an issue. Maybe Clarkson has taken those minutes. Shamet might be looking for a spot in a rotation on a team as I doubt he gets a multi year offer. More money next year so he be curious how he lands and with who.

The rookie exception can be used on Diawara, Pate or Nnaji. I think most would have bet on Nnaji because he was a higher pick/played in Europe, theoretically more developed. That said I think Diawara might have an edge on Nnaji. Someone with his motor/athletic ability on the wing can find more ways to disrupt the game.

2 ways to me are going to be Nnaji, Pate and McCullar. Or maybe Nnaji goes back overseas for another season and you can keep a guy like Watson or Beachamp. Maybe McCullar gets rostered as a veteran min if we don't look to sign someone else.

Yeah this was my guess as well. Diawara for the second round exception sounds perfect.

Does Diawara remind anyone of a raw Pascal Siakam?

Yeah that's a good comp. Even early in his career Siakam could score. That would be a great find if Diawara can become a reliable bench scorer

Technically Pate can’t sign for the second round exception because he wasn’t a second round pick. But the amount he can sign for as an undrafted FA isn’t that far off. Going into the summer I would have thought Nnaji was the likely second round exception guy. But now I think it’s very clearly Diawara as the likely candidate, with Jokubaitis still lurking as a darkhorse.

100% looks like a young Siakam out there in terms of just physical size and movement. Obviously that probably isn’t the likely outcome but it doesn’t take much imagination to see. If we want a more attainable comp, watch Jonathan Mogbo from Toronto last year. In terms of size and movement, and just raw skill in the open floor that’s a guy who might be a realistic outcome. But I think he’s got some upside, maybe beyond a typical late second round guy.

Has got to be better options vs Nnaji and Pate —— Pate I’m particularly is awful.

McCullar and Pate are probably a lock for 2-way deals. Nnaji probably gets the 3rd 2-way if Diawara gets the second round exception.
