NY better start being proactive in moving him before he has no value left, considering his contract.

At what point does Leon start getting the heat for all his BAD moves?

Leon doesn’t deserve any heat because he has this team still winning after 20 years of bad basketball. Knicks have been sustainably good his entire time here. We can’t fault him for not being perfect.

Yea, congrats on having Brunson fall into your lap.

Mavs could have had him at an extreme bargain, but passed. At that point, was there really any other place he wanted to go besides NY? If history repeated itself and Rose wasn't at the helm, do you think Brunson would have gone elsewhere or would he have still come to NY?

You probably disagree but I think we should have kept Julius.
At the time of the trade, felt KAT may be slightly better but no way he was worth the money.
Hoping it’s a system issue or⁶ that he just repeats what he did in the playoffs last year in this years playoffs.

The Julius Randle experiment had run its course at MSG. Randle was miserable and was ready to move on, at the time of the trade. Also, Knicks had zero interest in extending him which I agreed with. Problem is, we traded a fragile ego player in Randle for another fragile ego player in Kat.

When you make conf. finals for first time in 25 years, you don't get heat.
When your all NBA player is still an allstar, you don't get heat.
Lets see how the season plays out.
All teams make bad moves but is it really bad if the winning continues?

Jules and KAT are both kind of flawed which is is why they fell in our laps.
WE make it like last year never happend. Would it have if ihart and Jules were still here? Maybe.
That was not meant to be.

Who is the "your" in this statement? Cause we all Knicks fans and Brunson fell into OUR lap. After Leon hired Rick Brunson, made a show of bringing Randle to a playoff game in Dallas, and made all of the overtures when both Dallas and other teams did not.

He was an incredible UFA signing that was first overpriced and now under priced at his contract rate.

Knicks also turned Brunson from a very good player into an MVP type player.

Are you dividing the Knicks organization in half to pit one side against the other?

Yeah, that's a ridiculous sarcastic statement. All 30 teams had a shot at JB and most considered we didn't get good value for the $25M. If you're going to criticize people for their bad decisions you have to give credit for the good ones. You have to be consistent.

Knicks got fined for Leon going so overboard in woo'ing Brunson that they fined Knicks for tampering. So even the NBA thinks Leon did his work well.

If KAT didn’t get lucky on a couple of prayers against the Pistons last year, we were headed for a first round exit.

Between that and injuries, we lucked our way to the conference finals.

Our whole team is flawed.

If we make no moves, we need to pray that we’re clicking and unusually healthy throughout the playoffs. Which seems very unlikely for this team.

Leon, if you choose to accept it, mission not nearly accomplished. Fans will self destruct after every game until then.

It's hyperbole for sure, but Leon has made plenty of bad moves. We may be locked into a roster that's just not good enough to win it.

Any team could have signed or traded for Brunson we hired his father to be assistant coach then went all in to sign him. A great player “falling” in someone’s lap is Tom Brady getting drafted at 199th overall after 10 other quarterbacks most of them complete scrubs. The Knicks being forced to keep rookie John Starks rostered because he got injured in training camp.

Well didn’t have a good enough roster to get past the second round 2 years ago.

My argument for Randle was always the same.
One, he was a good value and not as bad as some said he was.
Two, everyone that complained about him had no viable replacement at the same cost.
Three, I argued trades suggested, like KAT, gave us minimal improvement and limited our cap flexibility.

We were wrong in not offering an extension at the price Randle ended up getting with the Wolves.

Still believe KAT will play better once the playoffs start. My hope is that Brown and Brunson figure out a way to use him.

Very well may be true. Doesn't mean the JB signing wasn't a gangster move.

Closest thing we had to the 90's.

Thanks Leon! And Dolan, I'm sure.

I was slowly coming to this conclusion myself.

This is all iHart’s fault. None of this happens after that first domino?

One of my main rooting interests at this point is to see OKC not get back to the finals.

Preferably it's Minny, since I hate the Spurs, don't like KD, and Denver has had enough good fortune.

This is with him deferring to Ant. His numbers go up when Ant has missed time.

Minny is a PG away from being extremely good.
