I am glad you have an opinion but I am over this argument. It's not up for debate. Until we got hit with the injury bug 4 of the top 5 minutes played were Knicks and KAT was 11 even after having missed games because of injury. We going to have to agree to disagree and keep it moving.

Shamet is undersized but starting to come into his own at the 3. Precious is not a wing and it shows.

When KAT sits, Knicks have Mitch, Precious, Huk at the 5.

I'll agree to disagree but this is not an opinion. This is a fact from the mouth of 2 players who have been playing under him for years (I think these were from last year). So you are believing Bridges and believing Brunson and Hart are liars. I am keeping in mind that at the time of their respective comments Brunson has his extension coming up (just like Bridges) and I think Hart just signed his.

"Generally, there's no evidence playing more is bad for a team, short- or long-term, but Thibs is definitely at the outer edge," he said. "It definitely looks bad for him, and the more you play, the more chance you have of getting injured. But I still think that's too simple. I doubt any doctor would say (Hart's) abdominal injury was likely caused by too many minutes. Robinson hardly played and got injured. It's an easy take to say Thibs grinds on his guys, but, again, I don't think there's evidence. Plus, if he didn't play them this much, they lose to Philly in the first round and none of this is an issue."

An Eastern Conference scout agreed. "Could some of the injuries have been prevented by playing Alec Burks and Precious Achiuwa more off the bench?" he asked. "Possibly. But players who are well-rested suffer injuries, too. Fatigue could contribute, for sure, but it's very difficult to assign if it's that or just bad luck."

The Western Conference GM did have a caveat. While he wouldn't draw a direct line from Thibs' approach to the spate of injuries, he wouldn't want his coach to take the same philosophy for reasons beyond assuring health in the postseason

but what Thibs is saying doesn't make really make sense. I mean, look at the box score and our wings play more minutes than the Celtics players he is mentioning. And that doesn't even factor in the fact we've gotten blown in most of the games, so why keep them out there.

Now- if Thibs doesn't want to say either the bench is full of scrubs he doesn't trust or they aren't good and he wants the best guys out there- ok - that is an explanation I will accept. It's not right, and I'd rather lose games and be fresh for the playoffs than drive guys into the ground - but its a fair thing for a coach to do.

Which wing guys are you guys playing off the bench in replacement of OG, Hart, Mikal?

Give or take, Knicks bench early in the season is Payne, Deuce, Shamet, Precious, Sims, Huk. Sims, Huk are centers. Shamet was not available. Deuce was a little hurt. Precious missed 20 games.

You are down to Payne and GLeague bros and rookies. So, Dadiet, Toppin, Kolek. Those are the wing replacement options Thibs had for most of the season.

Who are you guys playing to win games? Deal in reality. It's really a no win situation for a coach and team unless you are completely AOK with losing games to get minutes for Dadiet who can't dominate a GLeague game and Toppin who is not an NBA player.

Deuce and Shamet finally got their injury bugs kinda over and seems like minutes for the wings are starting to come down. Do not wonder why that is happening.
