I have not talked to him about his confidence but I'll take a stab that his jumpers knee still might be an issue.
We need him and every role player to in my opinion to play well.
Not just knicks but all teams starters are banged up this time of the year and play big minutes earning the big salaries!
Playoff Thibs keeps all his non starters on short leashes. Get hot he'll ride that but falter and he seems to go back to his dependable players and not let a deficit get out of hand. Not to say it does not execute that way, but seems to go that way.
Of course I'd like to see more bench play but Thibs don't play it like that. Most teams don't.
Until he gets a chip he'll be questioned for it.
I suspect Mitch gets over his bug by Tomorrow and I'd like to see more deuce and see his Shamet can find a hot vein and contribute.
He most recently had a groin injury. Shot looks a little out of rhythm. Point is taken that he hasn't seen a lot of court time so he's not as in rhythm as he might be. Sometimes with him, he needs to nail the first couple and then he goes from there. In this game he made his first one, so I think we're all thinking is this gonna be his game, but then I think he almost airballed one. He also tried to dunk one where he would have wound up 2 feet short of the basket, but was luckily fouled. When he is going well form is consistent and he tends to swish...he will get there with more reps. I thought he is important in helping guard Schroeder who has hurt us this series.
Overall Knicks had a weird game where they shot 45% from 3 and 28% from 2. They have been dreadful from 3 in all the games prior, so even though Deuce didn't have it going it was nice to see them hit some really tough 3s, especially in the 4th. Gotta keep shooting. I think when the Knicks didn't have the shooting going well in the 2nd half of the season, they tended to stop trying from 3.
