This has been a great NBA Finals so far. The effort by both teams has been at 110% every game. These teams are very evenly matched. I love the heart that the Mavs have been showing as a team. They get down, but don't panic and in crunch time they have been solid even when they lose.

SWEEET ! Can't take the HEAT

I was in a TGIFs restaurant watching and when MAVs won game #5 to go up 3-2
more than 1/2 restaurant was up and doing a dance ! cause Heat & LBJ lost

Mavs play better as a team. They have a superior coach and veterans who know how to work together. Miami is 3 insane athletes and a bunch of guys who jack 3's because they are open. Lebron/Wade/Bosh can create a lot of turnovers and are basically unstoppable in the open floor and one on one and thats enough to still potentially win the title. But Dallas is showing that even with less top heavy talent they can compete evenly with Miami.

Good post. I don't think the job that Carlisle is doing or the coach he's been his entore career gets enough credit. I've thought for a long time that he's one of the top 3-5 coaches in the league.

I found this on the realgm forums and tweaked it a bit... it use to be a current pic of the queen...

I decided to go with a computer generated approximation of what he should look like today.

Btw, separate note. I was watching NBA tv and saw Ahmad Rashad. He's 61?? He doesn't look a day over 40. Incredible. He needs to sell his anti-aging secrets to the world.

If Miami commits to working the pick-and-roll through both big men, Dallas could be in a fair bit of trouble. Containing the penetration of James and Wade has been so crucial to the Mavs’ success in these Finals, and the hedges that allow for that containment cannot be compromised. The result of that pressure is an opening for exactly the kind of exploitation the Heat were able to find – although unwilling to fully commit to – in Game 5.
