Yeah, (in response to the look tired comment) I think fans like to compare our players to other coaches who plays their stars heavy minutes like Tatum and Jaylen. But we don't have a Tatum and Jaylen on this team. They are better and built to play heavy mins and both are 2 way players. Meaning, even if their legs are tired and shots not falling, they can still impact the game on defense or playmaking. In fact, thats the main difference between us and these elite teams. They have stars who can do more than just score.

So Thibs has to adjust to the roster he has. KAT and OG are very important and we will not get out of the second round without them being close to 100%. On top of that, they are load management type players who are not built to play heavy mins due to their injury history. They not built for that, and thats ok. This is when having a deep team and a coach willing to play his bench matters.

If we are limping into the playoffs, we will have the same load management complaints every year, and Thibs will be under fire in the off season. But whenever I doubt this coach, he proves me wrong, so we will see, starting with tonight. See how the team responds after those blowouts.

I don't know much about Cheeks coaching style or coaching grade, but he's definitely a veteran coach with a lot of experience. But I can't see Leon firing Thibs and replacing him with Cheeks any time soon. I also don't see how that would improve much, if we dont address our flawed roster and weak bench.

Sometimes we / I have to step back and see the entire picture. And what Léon and Thibs has done was an amazing turnaround. We went from being the laughing stock to a championship contender.

Agree….Thibs is not a championship coach until he wins a championship. I’ll take that.

But on the other hand, if more news comes out that KAT re-injured his surgical repaired knee. The mins police will be coming for Thibs head. It’s a catch 22 on this. You want a coach that caters to his player which is Thibs. If KAT is on one leg but tells coach I’m fine let me in. You love that about KAT and players love that about coach. But this is no longer a fan complaint. The media is starting to join in and attack Thibs mins and rotation.

We really need a new Thibs feedback thread. The title is very misleading, but the content and conversation is great. This was created with emotional impulse I’m sure and Sorry to all the Thibs fans for digging this thread up, it’s not meant to fire Thibs but to express how we as fans feel about our head coach. It’s honest criticism.

After the Boston massacre I’ve calm down a bit and came to the realization we are the cavs of last year. Or a team that’s just starting to build. I trust Leon and company to make the necessary adjustments to improve this team. Even if he made any mistakes like the mikal trade (jury still out). I still trust that Leon and Thibs will continue to drive us to success. Championship? Not with this roster.

I am pretty much on the "finish building the team" train. I think we are right there. I don't really have any doubt in OG or Mikal.

This is why it's so hard to build a championship team in NY. We lack the patients with a fan base thats very short sited. We knew when Towns came here, we had a 3yr window to do something. Yet, we get on these guys in the first full year, for not looking championship ready. Finish building the team, is a good reminder to hang in there, even during the lows. And don't over hype expectations during the highs.

yeah but we have Leon. Fans scream and media rattles and he's nothing but patience personified. They continue to build culture. They dont jerk guys in and out of rotations. They dont shake things up. They build, they work, they grind and they wait if they have to.

Players might hear it a little... Josh Hart addressing the minutes police after one of his triple doubles, but Leon and coaches dont, or at least (and most important) they dont ACT like they hear it.

Spot on....Thats what I like about Leon and crew. They don't make decisions based on the noise. Thats why I think in the long run, we will be fine. All these past knee jerk moves haven't done well for us long term. So it's refreshing to have a staff like this. Us old fans remember the dark days. We are definitely building a solid culture here. And to Thibs credit, he's driving this culture of old school mixed with new school.

I disagree. I think we were closer last year to contending than this year. If January Knicks had been healthy during the playoffs, I think it highly likely we’d advance to at least Conf finals and maybe the finals. I don’t see that in this current roster. Maybe Robinson changes things but I doubt.

And I would trade Bridges and Kat for iHart, Randle and DDV.

Last year's squad was better than this year's. No question. We were absolutely poised to win it all.

I'm happy the Knicks are where they are but for a team that just emptied their draft pick chamber this summer it's disappointing that they're not a title contender.

It was obvious to me from the very beginning but that’s ok if everyone is now catching on. Deuce is the real deal. Best two way guard on the team. And since a rookie was top 5 guard defender in the nba. Now that he’s turned the corner from a mid range shooter to a deadly off ball and on ball 3 pt shooter.

Regardless if this isn’t the starting lineup, I can’t wait to see it. And keep in mind, when you sub in a disappointing Mikal for deuce, or even better Josh for deuce, our bench just improved. And I don’t remember who talked about this lineup first but someone in this UK community also mentioned this.

I believe this lineup can be a momentum swinger and gives Thibs so much rotation flexibility it’s crazy. Just one sub at any of the 2,3,4,5 positions gives us a totally different look.

Thibs has a lot of flexibility now that Mitch is back and deuce is healthy.

Just like Marcus smart or drew holiday. Deuce can guard 1-3 positions. Today’s SF is yesterday’s guards.

So deuce is strong enough to guard bigs and quick enough to guard those pick and rolls. As long as he can hold his own on defense, Thibs not afraid to play 3 guards. Especially now that Mitch is back as the last man of defense that decision is even easier now.

Props to Thibs for showing flexibility. We will need it in the playoffs.

Man you gotta love this team from Owner to player what a turn around. Are we undefeated in OT games? Regardless nobody wants to see us in a 7 game series with a healthy Mitch and deuce. Two secret weapons that impacts wins and loses. We know about JB and Towns, but the others help you win it all.
