Anyway, too young, too sad. Blessings.

Yes..there was another Cliff Robinson in the league. He played for the Sixers in the late 80s.

Stan needed to just say He was a fool. Not call for his job. STotts Bubble performance with a healthy team was commendable. With Lillard and Collins out there is but so much they can do. Lakers were best team this season. They should get credit.

As for Knicks looking bad? Really KD and KI on Net was the better call for them. They were ready made with role players and/or assets to remake the roster for them. Knicks had no where close to what Nets had LAST Year. The rumor mill was so full with Durant to New York it was forgotten Nets were here too!!! LOL

Saviors need a team around them. We did not have that. It would have been ugly.

Yeah, it's not cool to call for another dude to be fired. It's totally fair to call out the many times Chris has effed up with his "reliable sources" in the past tho. If you want to say Terry or the Portland organization need to come together and figure out a way to improve the defense, that's a fair point. To say the coach of the #3 offense in the league needs to go because his offense isn't good enough is ridiculous and makes wonder if Chris is dealing with other issues.

How many players seem to be underachieving with that hair style?
Cole Anthony, D’angelo Russell with Lakers, DSjr, Fultz..........Is it not distracting?
I’m half kidding.

I did not see it as truly calling for his job. SVG was throwing it back in Broussard's face. These guys say whatever they want to say with no accountability.

I know, but I was in a roundabout way. I can remember more of his inaccuracies than I can his "scoops." He's not good. Not even mediocre. Just look at his track record.

The Culture likely could go but so far and the opportunity for those two are risks they took. We all like a good development story but at some point you have to cash in some chips to get to contend. Nets had a good thing but there was a ceiling. They could keep developing and perhaps get a star or two.
I liked what they did and applaud it. They basically grew a team to accept two stars. Not terrible.

That's a fair take of course. Until it plays out it remains to be seen, and even then one can justify the risk as taking your shot. My main point is the Knicks are portrayed as clowns and worse for their decisions (or non-decisions) and not signing two maxed out damaged divas. There is a risk in that as well but to me it was the right decision. Who knows, it could even work out well for all parties. But not according to the mob -- the Knicks were fools and that is that.

I don't think it is a fair statement at all. The only guys that are relevant that are left is Lavert and Dinwiddie. They minimized Jarret Allen for Jordan. They traded Russell. They fired the coach that helped BUILT the culture KD and Kyrie wanted to go to and then fired him BECAUSE of KD and Kyrie.

The Nets were building a team and traded away everything they built. Style, culture, everything was out the window and they didn't build a team for those two stars. They got rid of alot of pieces that made them successful. No one knows the ceiling the Nets were working with if they kept doing what they were doing. Now the ceiling is dependent on KD and his creaky knees and Kyrie who is a walk job and is practicing consistent bodily maintenance.

The Nets worked for them because it was NY without the pressure. Those two are mentally weak. All the main pieces that the Nets were about are all gone or now minimized.

I said it's a fair take since the logic for the move was stated and it has yet to play out. Since my beef is the masses condemning the Knicks before it all plays out I'm not going to do the same to the other parties. Having said that I agree with you generally -- I believe this will be the undoing of a Nets team that was doing things right for a while. I will not be sad if Kyrie and KD fail, particularly after they orchestrated the axing of Atkinson.

Breathe a sign of relief- looks like the CP3 & Melo to NY plan is no more. I'm actually happy for Melo- Blazers are a much better fit for him than we would be. Returning to MSG with no crowds and few wins wouldn't have been an enjoyable way to end his career. With the Blazers he can help them compete. I'm also happy for us as I didn't like the Melo and CP3 plan

Yep, Carmelo got his 27 points in a first round exit to the Lakers -- he's happy. Seriously I was pulling for him and the Blazers (esp against the Lakers) and am glad to see him have a resurgence. But like the previous post, I am not for him and CP3 coming here. That is not our answer. But all the best to both.

I remember Luka saying that the NBA wasn't as physical as the Euroleague during his rookie season. He obviously hadn't experienced playoff basketball yet.

I think he is right. I used to watch Philippines pro basketball and the **** they do there is nasty. Same in euroleague. I think outside of the NBA they are dirtier and more physical. The players in the NBA are stronger though so it might seem that it is more physical.
