Van Pelt or the other guy on sportcenter said they out toughed OKC which is true I guess. But how does any team play Miami tough when regular fouls are called flagrant 2 or a flagrant. Then on top of that their players get to play physical and get the benefit of the doubt when playing defense. Also when their star players make an obvious flagrant foul(Wade/Collinson) it a two shot foul.

The refs set the mood for the playoffs when they tried to toss Chandler on a moving pick. Also, I do not want to hear analyst give Durant grief saying he would get more calls if he would have attacked more because it does not matter you still will not get the calls.

$8 to $10 mil a year seems way too much for him now- was he always this bad or did he regress since he landed with the Thunder? Can't believe that they voided the Tyson Chandler trade a few years ago- would of been the difference in this series.

partially disagree... one day the Sonics are goiing to go up against a team that plays bully ball, like Memphis, and they'll need a guy like Perkins. Perk did nothing in these playoffs but he is a certain type of player. The SOnics pretty much played teams that run up and down the court as much as possible in every round

Would you take Perkins over Ibaka or Harden? The issue is clearing $ for them.

First off Westbrook was underwealming IN THE FINALS.

With the execptino of last nite OKC was in a position to win each game.

Experience and coaching got Heat over the hump. This is not easy.

OKC ran over the Spurs but it was not enough to beat the Heat.

Argue Durant vs Melo all you want. Lebron is on a different planet and Im sorry he is not a knick. The kid grew up this year.

That series was a masterpiece. He does not have his "The Shot" moment but neither does Kobe.

Lets not crap on Melo or Durant. These guys are "Dirk" like as all star players and need the right pieces around them.

Guys like Battier was the Glue. Mike Miller finally comes up with a game. Bosh did his job and Wade carried the team in spurts.

But Lebron scored and facilitated. The passing he did was not flashy but effective. His role players hit the shots when they needed to.

Im not going to worry about OKC. Be fun to see how they progress.

Miami won and life goes on. Better this year than last.

The Boy King is now a man.

miami now has as many titles as the knicks... most of the time as a fan of this team they have only been close 1 time. never felt the 99 team had any chance.

unfortunetly we are probably not going to get close for a while. I mean miami is pretty much unbeatable the next 2-3 which is pretty much our shelf life with our big three

We have to get to the ECF next season. And then we have a chance. No reason we shouldn't make it past the 2nd round. Unless we're a #2 seed, Chicago grinds to a 7 seed with Rose coming back just in time for the playoffs. That would suck.

I hope so like I said Melo and Amare have A LOT to prove next year. There wil be no more excuses like injuries,no training camp, MDA anymore. Its put up or shut up time

Van Gundy made a good point. How the hell could they put Harden on Lebron for long stretches in the first half? First of all, Harden is a lousy defensive player. Secondly, he is too short to guard Lebron. Lebron sees right over him and gets the ball wherever he wants to if he doesn't decide to back him down himself. The game was over right there. Then you have the issue of the Thurder aka the Twinkies, leaving guys open for 3's all night long as if it were the 3 point shooting contest at the All Star game.
Come hard, come strong. They did neither and they are sissy soft. Lost a lot of respect for OKC. Kind of like the Phoenix Suns with Nash, Amare, Marion and the rest. Pretty to watch offensively but ain't winning a title until they learn to play defense. Which may be never.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Amen

I could not have said it better. I Do think some can lay off LBJ, But I'm more glad for the dis-respected coach Erik Spoestra
a tough SOB

Heat earned it, bravo their 1 title, we may be graced not to see any more HEAT/LBJ,BOSH,DWADE titles anytime soon !

The real problem with HEAT which I and anyone outside of Florida dislikes them is the Dwayne Wade 'Dis' continuously he gives
Coach Spoestra, Dwayne in his post game comments referred thanks to "Coach Riley". Never said sh_t on the actual Heat coach
until a media writer asked him and Wade bumbled thru his response.

Dwade is the 'new' baby face mature assassin like in mode of Isiah Zeke Thomas, sneakly dirty and only about himself as
this once mature superstar is as arrogant as phony and as 'Dont blame me' attitude is reason his disrects his coach giving
no credit and rest of teammates follow.

I give Bosh and LBJ credit they at least pretended to put arm towards coach Erik Spoestra, but the HEAT & WADE hugged more
OKC players and gave warm words on everyone from themselves down to their kids, to Shaq (Dwade) without single FL_^%cking
work to their tough coach whom put up with the piss of DWade and LBJ in their selfishness.

To Coach credit I see why he likes Manny Pachio he is tough he knows the guys dont like him but he WON!

Heat and Dwade curse you,
LBJ gets his 1 ring and earn some respect

Wade you're lucky you have the BETTER player in league right now, cause you're too phone to be as great as
your arrogance tells you! LBJ may deserve his 1st cause he played determined.

Its only a matter of time when HEAT cant win again, Dwade gets tired of LBJ getting the spotlight his ego will take over
when this team cant get back to finals again.

Wade doesnt deserve squat!

Wade is an arrogant pos , watch his post game interviews when they lose and the way he answers questions, watch him throw temper tantrums when he doesn't get a call . I don't like Lebron but he showed class after he won and said all the right things.

Agreed. Not only did Lebron have one of the all time finals, he had one of the all times playoff runs we have ever witnessed. Hate Lebron for not joining the Knicks, Hate Lebron for the"Decision" but as a basketball fan, you have to respect his game. He's one of the all time greats, no question....

Respect his game? As a fan, you have to *love* his game. It's the best combination of speed, power, and decision-making the game has ever seen.
