ho hum
The only thing I'm interested in is if the Yankes move Granderson to the 2, bench Johnson, and promote Montero. That's the lone storyline thus far
(edit:) well that, and the CC and Hughes' no hit bids
to early to tell yet w johnson. thing about johnson, he uses every at bat - goes deep into the count consistently, so there's something to be said for that. give it some time and see how he develops during the 1st third of the year.
I agree and I'm not saying I would do that... that's pretty much the only storyline I could see developing that would be remotely interesting
btw - you know i was being sarcastic with the ho hum stuff right? the yanks are pounding people right now - cant get better than this for us - if we keep the momentum, could be a special season and #28 right around the corner.
I know you were cracking a joke but humor hides the truth. 1996 and 2001 were infinitely more interesting seasons than 1998. This season could be that great--I firmly believe(d) that and I think previous posts evidenced this. This season will be great for baseball watching purposes. I'll always sign up to watch greatness.
But I do think it's funny that my only concern is whether or not the pitching staff will be able to pull off a no-no or not
Anyway, I just thought the ho hum comment (even though it was a joke) was an interesting opinion on the team, as it really does imply that everyone and their mother expects the Yanks to win every series this year... and the Rays are legit and surely Boston will improve
