I'd be even happier if they didn't telegraph their intentions with the 8th pick.

Im intrigued by RJ Hamptons, maybe we can buy a pick or trade up from 27 to get him? He looks like someone who can surprise people in the NBA next season

They’ve already looked at Cole, Haliburton, Hayes, And Kira

Yam Madar is a name that came up on the Knicks Film School podcast. Signed with CAA and looks like an intriguing draft and stash guy in the second round. Has decent size and can shoot take back the part about him being a good shooter. His shot looks very streaky at this point..

How does his perimeter defense translate? Anyone think it can improve?

I’d love to pick Tillman in the 2nd rd he’s a high motor player with a soft touch around the rim, will even hit a 3 if open. a guy that could have a immediate impact and come off the bench.

We're all hypnotized by first round but case study:

Denver
Joker, Grant, Monte' Morris, Millsap, barton, Diop, Bol, all second rounders

Torrey Craig, Dozier, Daniels (undrafted)

Murray (7), Porter (14), Plumlee (22), G. Harris (19) are the only first rounders as near as i can tell

(5)(7)

Every year we are looking for that 7footer to fulfil the “Unicorn” promise. We are learning the physiology of these kids hurts them. Limbs, ligaments and Tendons just don’t add up. Seems the big guys either have power which limits shooting log ball or the body can’t handle the task needed in the NBA. Durant is special as a 7 footer to have lasted as long as he did! Jabbar is the outlier. Wilt bulked up. Ewing bulked up. Daddy Sabonis bulked up. Willis could fly as a younger player. Moses Malone had the power. Walton and Yao Ming broke. Sam Bowie, Greg Oden........Ralph Sampson.
KP could and still might be special. Lauri Marrkkkeeennnn, 7fter still jury is out on. Hornets obsession with Cody Zeller and Frank Kaminsky.
Kudo’s to Embiid.

One day a genetic breakthrough will happen. Giannis is still is breaking the barrier but he has the power than the fundamental.
For now its Embiid and Durant are outliers at 7ft.

These playoffs have restored some hope- they've shown there's no one way or one system to be successful. We have teams having success with dominant big men, with scrub big men and with PF's at the C spot. There's no one team you need to copy.

Also, we're seeing teams make use of playmaking from different positional profiles and coaches with the imagination to come up with different schemes. Here's a question. Is Jokic better than Anthony Davis. Jokic, at least physically, profiles as an old school big man and Davis is probably has the ideal physical profile of the "new" school. Off the top, I'd say Jokic is better than Embiid, Bam and Porzingis.

Without a doubt Jokic is better than all those guys

Why do you think I have a giant chubby for Deni Avdija?

And we got Mitch in the second round a couple years ago

The draft is no longer about having a top 3 pick. It’s also not necessarily a bad thing if a player has been in college more than one year.

was just about to post this....If we are looking for a player similar to Hero, look no further than Terry. If we decide to trade back, Terry, has to be considered along with Maxey and perhaps Anthony...
