You are right. I am a Barcelona guy so I actually hate the fact that Messi is being misused and Tevez is running wild. Waht are they playing? 5-4-1? There is no structure there and IMO its Maradona's fault.

I don't think Messi was misused. Just because its different from what he does in Barcelona doesn't make it wrong. Today they just didn't click together like they had in the other games. But Germany played excellent ball and deserves all the credit.

The whole team was misused. They had no system or structure. Their goalie belongs in the MLS and what defense? They got this far on talent and the luck of the draw. It is a crime what Maradona did with so much talent.

Paragauy v Spain is turning into a good game! Both good defensive teams and two great goalie stops on penalties.

They all complain over nothing. There is no signature style for this national team. Maradona is too obnoxious. No way Argentina deserves to win. This is all Germany. good luck to you guys dodger! Hope they pull this off

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant tell you guys how proud I am of those kids!!! I am utterly impressed how they have been playing in the last games!!! I knew that they have GREAT GREAT talent but thought this WC is coming too early for this young squad but man do they play great, beautiful soccer!!!!! I just love this!!!!!!!!
@Silver: Thanks man! I appreciate it!!! :-)

One more thing... if they actually reach the finals they would have deserved the cup sooo much eliminating England, Argentina and Spain in a row... man that is a tough bunch of teams!!!

Final: Germany against Netherlands
Germans win!!! ;-)

Now tell me we get LeBron and Bosh/Stoudamire and I might as well call it a day!!! ;-)

Yeah dude awesome game from Germany. Argentina just didn't show up on this one. I would say you guys are he favorites now. But Spain will test your defense more than Argentina did today. I still don't understand why the spanish coach doesn't start Fabergas.

congrats dodger on an impressive win for your squd today...

totally outclassed argentina and exposed maradona's lack of coaching skills, imho.

get the ball to messi or tevez can only get you so far against a well organized team...

vs. spain should be interesting, especially with some players suspended...

The team was being coached by hat other dude. Maradona was mostly a Mascot. Even Gullit said so on his analysis.

Interesting. All the articles I read said Maradona selected (did not select Zanetti and Cambiasso which would have given them the defense they needed) and "coached" the attacking team and sacrificed defense. I'm sure he had help from other coaches but I never heard that the other guy was the real coach. Whoever it was, they made a serious ****ing mess and none of them should be allowed near the national team again. At least England scored 2 goals against Germany. Argentina with all that talent still got completely decimated.

nah, just normal...if there was some greek passion going on, there'd be flares lit in the stands and the players would have killed each other already
