How many games do you think this Dallas team would have won without Dirk? I think 15 would have been struggle.

You mean Wright blew it. No ref is going to call that with 6 secs left in the game. If you want a foul call you can't *****foot around. Wrap the guy up. For pete's sake he didn't even bother to put his hands on the guy. They were too scared of the 4 point play and getting caught fouling while shooting and got burned. Now I like to hear how they are going to argue for more fouls to be call on them.

Him and Oden need some of Ewing's warrior juice maximum strength variety. Clyde is right they don't make these guys like they used to.

So both of these are 3-0.

I missed both of these games. Can someone give a quick and dirty rundown about the end of the Denver/Dallas game which I've heard was... "controversial"?

bro, in the dallas v. denver game, these jerks didn't call a foul when wright intentionally fouled carmelo. carmelo kept playing, wright had stopped, and melo hit a 3. it was an obvious intentional foul (they had a foul to give)

disgraceful. disgusting.

Man, that was OBVIOUS foul. The rulebook doesn't state anything about fouls needing to be called differently in the closing seconds of a game. If you look at the rule book, there is no way that what happened was anything but a foul.

I just saw the highglights.

Big difference between 3-0 and 2-1, though to be fair, the Mavs had a 4 point lead with under a minute to go and it shouldn't have come to this.

I have a feeling Cubes is going to sell the Mavs in the near future. He hates the refs as much if not more than any normal fan does.

I seen worse contact with no call. More that came out.
1) No Maverick warned the officials during their timeout that an intentional foul was coming before the shot. What? You mean you intended to commit an intentional foul and didn't warn the very people who will make that call. Hell I learned that much in JV basketball. Where the Mavericks scared of the officials?
2) There wasn't anything obvious about that. He bumped Anthony and just assumed that a call would be made, why come Anthony didn't assume and continue to play while Wright just stopped.
3) Getting the foul was just part of it, his job was to also make sure the player didn't get off a 3 point play which he failed to do.

At the end of the day, the Mavericks were looking to get bailed out of a situation that they put themselves in. And hoping that the officials use their Vulcan like abilities to do some mindreading on a play that they argue all game wasn't fouling. Next time push the guy to the ground or grab his arm at the very least. Next time don't be a ***** and whack the guy. Another playoff year where the Mavericks are looking for excuses instead of looking in the mirror.

Also, I love the fact that it is now just assume even if they called the foul that the Nuggets would concede the game. Where's that in the rule books. Were the Mavericks suppose to foul and then get the ball back. How does that work, again? I intentionally foul you and now the game is over and we win. LOL, the guy still knock down the shot while they were looking at the official.

Where's Wright or any other Maverick player in this shot? Oh wait they are hoping the officials bail them out. When you assume, you make an ass... well you know the rest.

pharzeone, bro, bro, wright isn't in that picture because he blatantly fouled melo. it was an intentional foul. they had one to give. it's as easy as 1-2-3 and the refs blew it, blew it big time.

it would be like if the rim fell to the ground and everyone stopped, but the refs didn't call anything, so the player with the ball went in and dunked on the rim while it was on the ground and the dunking team won. that's what this situation is comparable to.

I'm sorry that sound silly. So he's not in the picture because he felt he fouled him but heard what to make him stop? It's not a foul until someone calls it. No call no foul. I still see 3-0 next in the playoff standing. Stopping before the whistle is blown sounds like a loser excuse. You don't stop playing until you hear a whistle. It's that simple. This is much to do about nothing except for the fact that the Mavericks with a sizeable enough lead find another way to blow it.
