Nets look really good. Bropez is their best player but going small with garnett at center and pierce at the 4 has really helped them. Anderson was a really underrated signing. He killed the knicks last year and fits with a line up of stars. Teletovic and AK47 have been playing really well as has blatche. The Nets are so deep and have a ton of height. I don't think Evans is even playing for them right now.

It was going to take time for them to build chemistry
Deron Williams is the glue to the puzzle and Lopez was suppose to be their #1 option
However, I think Livingston is their most under rated signing for DEF and ability to run/facilitate

AK47 is also more of a PF/C at his age with his length and shot blocking ability that they missed
Thing is they are stock piled at the PF/C with Teletevic an undersized stretch PF/C as well which would benefit from wide open shots if they continue to push the ball more
Joe Johnson is much slower than he once was but he is very clutch, despite not worthy of his salary either
Blatche is talented but misses consistency

Like the Knick's they need to be able to PUSH THE BALL more and Kidd realizes that because they lack speed, however, Woodson doesn't seem to emphasize pushing the ball and is happy with Melo bringing up to ball half the times, outside of Felton sometimes pushing when he can and Iman pushing whenever he can but he needs to work on his handle

Lin got a lot of praise the first month or two of the season, but since he came back from injury in December, he has flat out sucked- no idea what's going on with him.

Probably the injury and rust who knows. Many players go through cold stretches. Is Asik still hurt? He has like disappeared. I am surprised that they are not more actively shopping the two.

Listening to Mike Breen and Jeff Vandummy call the Heat Spurs games solidifies why I dislike Breen calling games and it tells me why Jeff will probably not be a head coach in the league again.

Jeff is anti establishment and their bias rules and Mike Breen is pro euro player and referees.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Stern is leaving so Jeff could come back to the bench if he wanted. Stern squelched Jeff when he came out and said that an official told him. Jeff went to the booth and has taken every chance he has gotten to show what a hypocrite Stern is.

i know we should not like the nets,

but they are balling shot calling,

i'm glad they found their stride it was painful to watch such a talented team throw away their season

I am actually praying that they do really well compared to us. Maybe this will force Dolan's hand into doing something.

I watched the game with Boston last nite and its amazing how stacked they are. They might be better without Bropez.

There is not greatness there yet but a guy like AK47 just seems to do many things right including pass! Williams is showing flashes of what he was bought in to do.

Come crunch time They have perhaps too many options but IsoJoe is very clutch. I always saw Garnett and pierce as support players and the trick for them is keep them fresh for the playoffs.

Blatch and AK47 really make that team click as well as Livingston! Their role players are finding their pace.

the nets are playing better, but like the knicks nalod they are a big disappointment, actually bigger since they have more talent.. having a good turnaround isn't going to be good enough for the nets, they are going to have to be in the ECF to justify those moves... otherwise I say they tear that team up if they can....

I do like what I have seen from livingston tho... what a great guy and I am glad he is playing as well as he is now.. couldn't happen to a better guy...

All it will do is force dolan to make more dumb moves... unfortunately... he will look at the nets team and think he needs to trade off more young guys and picks for older fading stars...

Atlantic winner gets 4th seed. Can't erase the 22 loses and they are not going to run the table but the key tests will be how they do 2nd of back to backs and against .500 teams and better. They got talent for sure, but chemistry and injuries like most teams will tell that tale.

I think with Bropez out they have found their idenity. I also think Williams has to earn his leaderhsip role which was granted on his talent alone. On paper he was ready to step it up but with the two boston AlphaDogs coming in he has to earn that place. It was noted he suggested he come off the bench to not disrupt the starting unit. It also paramount that AK47 who obviously is comfortable on the court williams be healthy.

Teletovic hung 34 pts the other nite! Glad to see him get a chance. This team has a lot of minutes to divy up and who gets it and who is going to be a bytch diva about theirs is important.

If they can win the Atlantic and finish strong they will head into playoffs in contention. Indy got off to a great start but its a long season and injuries could hit them, as well as they hit a wall. Miami is not going away until they are put down in the playoffs.

Nets are not their yet but they are only 2.5 games from the 3rd seed!!!!!

I don't think they catch Miami or Indy given the 22 loses already but I'd be watching the records for the second half of the season as a way to gauge momentum.

BTW, I fully expect the knicks to make the playoffs even with injuries! While I thought BKN would always win the ATL I never dreamed both Knicks and them would be as pathetic as they have been the first half!

I thougth washington would be better, the same with Bobcats and Cleveland but never dreamed at the half way mark they'd be ahead of knicks!

good point about the nets nalod...but if i were a nets fan, I would be very concerned at why we came out so bad to start the season... It is going to take a lot of games of consistent play to make me a nets believer. as you said they have some pieces, but are they a contender.. that is the question. Just making a good showing in the playoffs, for that veteran team, is not good enough considering what they gave up to build this team..

As far as the knicks.. I am not sure we are making the playoffs.. the longer teams like the bobcats stay ahead of us and in contention I think they will actually not only gain confidence but make the moves at the trade deadline to improve that team... the same can go for any team with a playoff shot.. and a lot of them have assets to improve their situation..

NO doubt and the knicks have to take care of their own business before relying on another to slide. One of those teams will slide for sure. Not sure someone below us can't get hot either. Bottom line is being more than a one and done team even if in the playoffs. Sub .500 and making the playoffs is not a good thing.

Lets be real, all we are playing for is to not get shown up by denver on who they pick and hoping the pick is bust.

That does not do a thing for us but help us mentally masterbate away from trading the pick. If Melo leaves and we lose a franchise player to Denver its too humiliating!

As for Nets its pretty obvious I would agree with you. They are starting to gel and it took a lot longer than I thought. But like I said, they get a 3rd or 4th seed easy and go into red hot its not had to fathom they can beat a 6th seed pretty easy and then as a red hot team face Miami? Is this Miami team one with Wade healthy or not? Is Ray on his game or age showing? Is anyone else injured?

Look, Knicks can take miami if the right things fell into place so IM not saying anything brilliant here. Im just saying BKN has a lot of pieces and if they coming together they could take the East! Im not saying they have shown evidence other than the last 10 games.

But in the grand scheme Nalod, that should not matter.. I thought it was a bad trade then, and still a bad trade now.. doesn't matter what denver does or gets... the fact that we don't have a pick is the problem.. not that denver may get a stud in the draft...

yea, it may take the sting off for some knick fans, but lets say we make the playoffs, get throttled the first round and denver gets the 15th pick in the draft and they get a guy like mason plumlee or heck, a tim hardaway JR.. doesn't that still suck for us?

But as you said, the knicks have to take care of business, and losing season series to the bobcats and sixers, and celtics is not going to help the knicks at all...

As far as the nets, they are starting to gel, and they have the potential to be dangerous, I just don't see them beating indy or miami... but anything can happen I guess... I am just concerned that a team that played that bad, has gotten all of that out of their system..

Lin starts for Harden and helps the Rockets defeat The Spur's

But

Some continue to mock him, say he is a bench player, believe FELTON was the better choice, it is just hilarious
Lin could have helped us this year greatly, especially with JR unable to penetrate like he did last season

Last year, had we had him, we wouldn't have to watch Kidd in the later part of the season, JR shooting 30 shots, and didn't have to rely on ISO MELO did will struggle vs TOP CALIBER defensive teams like the Pacer's Heat

Too bad, we couldn't find a common balance between Melo, Lin, and the rest of the team (many of which enjoyed playing with Lin with success as he was able to make them play better and PUSH THE bALL)

Camby, Kidd, Felton, Novak (could have been replaced by a vet min shooter), were all players that we didn't need and could have been replaced with vet players, we could have had LIN and a 5m MLE instead of those players, and those picks as well

Utilizing the MLE for Kidd and MWP/Pablo were both horrible decisions, Kidd did provide leadership but we need talent to win games and we are missing talent

Oh, take all those picks back and the picks given away for AB, and we really might have been able to do something with it
