right, a guy who just came off of wrist surgery a week ago should ALWAYS get minutes.

Here's the awesome Shumpert dunk. It doesn't look like he did much afterward but it depends on what he said.

It didn't look like much but if he said something wild and said it loud enough, then that's your shish kebab.

I watched the game and not participated in the Game Thread. I was not displeased with the effort nor the game plan and execution. After the game I logged on to UK and I was really surprised at the reactions in the game thread.

Some complaints that I thought were a little off.

1. Why was Tyson not in the game for a long period of time when we were down 5-7? Tyson got a little banged up again on his wrist in the 3rd quarter. He was having problems catching the ball and securing rebounds and MDA gave him a breather. This actually worked as we were able to catch up and Tyson got his 2nd wind to play very good defense.

2. Complaints on Lin's play. He had 2 quick fouls which I thought were ticky tacky fouls that compared to the fouls he was called on were just horrible. He was also hammered every time he went into the paint. I mean every drive to the basket that they showed a replay on shows Garnett and Bass hacking and wacking on Lin's arms. You can see Rondo laying his hands on Lin's hips and redirecting Lin to the double team. Someone in this board said that Lin will have to play through it and wait until next year to get respect but there is respect and then there is this. I don't even know what to call this ****. On that one play where Rondo got an offensive rebound and put back, I saw it on real time and on the replay, Rondo pushed off from Lin and did not get called for a foul. On the driving play when Lin tried penetrate and was wacked, no call, and he manages to steal the ball back and drove to the basket....Lin had to cover up the ball like a running back and flipped it up with his left hand for the score. MDA has to complain in the media about this ****.

3. Melo's last second shot in regulation. He was fouled!!! Pierce was riding him and pushing him on his hips to force an off-balanced shot. That was bull ****. Should have been FTs and game over. He had another attempt either in the 4th or OT where Pierce clearly pulled the back of his jersey like a horse collar tackle in football but was not called.

4. Kevin "FuckFace" Garnett. Fooker was hitting everybody in sight. In one incident in the 4th or OT, he blasted Amare and sent him flying to the stands and no call. He delivers a hip check everytime and never gets called.

5. Fouling somebody before taking the shot for a 3. I have no problem with MDA's call. It's their coaching philosophy. Pierce hit a great shot. I mean he was a foot away from the farthest part of the 3 point line and was fading away to his right. That was great defense on Shumpert's part. Like Nalod said, Pierce hit a great shot. Give him credit for that. Also, JVG a great defensive coach has the same philosophy from what I remember. I could be wrong but I don't think there is a coach in the NBA right now that fouls in that scenario.

I enjoyed this game. Showed that my team still had the chance to win the game even though the refs did not give us any shot of winning. I have no complaints with my team.

One thing about MDA is he is extremely loyal. This is a good and bad thing. I have no problem Landry starting and getting pulled like yesterday if he does not produce.

There is a fine line between adjusting and flip flopping like a fish out of water.

Some things you have to let run their course.

he didn't say anything. That was the weakest, lamest taunting tech in the history of taunting techs.

the refs were going to have a quick whistle because of JR Smith and Ray Allen chirping at each other. Rookie mistake, he should learn from it

Rooks don't get sheet in this league. Way it is. Lin gets bloodied, Shump gets T'd.

The optimal move in that last regulation play would have been for Smith to lower his shoulder and just drive it into Garnett. Then Pierce would have had to shoot two free throws, but after a couple of minutes delay to pick Garnett up from the floor. If ever you're going to use up a foul, that's the way to do it. God, I hate Garnett, Pierce and Allen in that order.
