missing penalties in the wc is par the course for many players...

it's high stakes...

in 1994 roberto baggio, the best in the world, missed one cost them the title, in a shootout...

beckham did in a different knockout phase when free kicks and penalties were a specialty of his...

"choking" on penalties in the world cup, written about just before the competition by the ny times, is FAAAR more common than normal games.

which is then to ask...

how awarding a penalty can be the way to determine a match where a player blatantly tries to block the game winning shot with his hand...and all that happens is he gets sent off (who cares...it's penalties) and they get a penalty kick is crazy...for an elimination game.

They all complain over nothing. There is no signature style for this national team. Maradona is too obnoxious. No way Argentina deserves to win. This is all Germany. good luck to you guys dodger! Hope they pull this off

Argentina didn't deserve this, but you can argue that Maradona deserves it.. Did anyone see him leave the press conference when a German player entered? He's a child who's been nursed since he was 4 years old, and he gets whatever he wants in Argentina - in this case, the coaching job.

You are right. I am a Barcelona guy so I actually hate the fact that Messi is being misused and Tevez is running wild. Waht are they playing? 5-4-1? There is no structure there and IMO its Maradona's fault.
