Wilbon adds nothing to these halftime breakdowns.

Jeff... shut up. Please.

Isn't it funny that ex-coaches still get called "Coach"? Like how ex-US Senators still get called "Senator".

JVG made a good point about the Lakers frontrunning again. Lamar and the bench making plays. Gasol with no Perkins in the post having at it. Being home is clearly an advantage in a series where home court wasn't suppose to have a real impact.

Jeffy makes good points... when he's not suggesting that they do some sort of game for jump balls.

this game just goes to prove that Kobe has more than enough talent around him to win a ring... when that talent actually decides to show up, you see the results... no one man can do it all on his own, i don't care who you are... this is a team sport.

It will be really hard for the Celts w/o Perkins, Sheed has to step up BIG TIME.

Good grief... I can't listen to any more complaining about the 2-3-2 format. Every sports show host seems to now be an expert on playoff game formats. It's amazing. There is no scenario where Boston will have home court advantage going into a series. They took advantage of it as best as one would hope to drag the series out. For goodness sake no one had an issue with it when the Rockets swept the Magic. Or when the Knicks had to go back to Houston up 3-2.

did gasol come up big enough last night? not trying to be a dick or anything, i just don't get how anyone could call him soft. 17pts/13rebs/9asts/3blks. that's coming up big in a big game.

last night he didn't play soft... the night before he played soft... watching the games you could easily distinguish the difference in how he played that would lead people to cast those labels on him... if he wants to shed that label for good he needs to play with force down low & stop getting pushed around, outhustled & outrebounded by guys 3-4 inches shorter than him... last night he did a good job of doing just that.

Pau is averaging 10 boards a game in this series. No Celtic is averaging over 6. Kobe is the next closest rebounder in the series at 6.8. This "soft" guy keeps dominating the glass. I guess balls just keep bouncing to him. Lucky Pau. How could such a soft guy who won't mix it up at all be doing this. Beats me.

And if anyone sees him shying away from contact in this series, I don't know what to tell you. He is mixing it up a ton with a lot of after the whistle stuff too. Pau is no *****. The guy doesn't get enough shots sometimes, and whenever he doesn't have a big game people run to call him soft. People don't like the guy for whatever reason. Maybe its because he looks like a dork (he certainly looks soft), the euro stuff doesn't help with the soft label either, but nothing about his play in this series has been soft whatsoever. I don't know what some of you are watching.

Sometimes people read too much into how people look. I'll tell you right now, Amare Stoudemire plays 10x softer than Pau. But Stoudemire generally does not get the soft label. You stand Amare next to Pau, and Pau certainly looks softer, because of build and his doofy ass haircut. But he will definitely stick his nose in more than amare. When people harp on this Pau is soft stuff i honestly don't know if they are watching the games, or if they know what they're watching, or if they just attach labels like this based on appearance

no i agree TMS, i admittedly said he played very poorly in the previous game, but the games before that he definitely did not. that's my only point. i don't even know why i care haha.

I called him soft. And you are a dick. But seriously, I give him credit for last night game but it was at home and let's face it. Kobe set the pace for the entire team. I mean you might as well give out kudos to Artest and Shannon Brown. Let's not forget that Perkins went out with his injury. But to keep nyk happy.

Kudos Gasol for stepping up at home when your opponent goes out with an injury with Wallace in early foul trouble behind some questionable calls. U da man!

He is also averaging about 42 minutes in the series. I could argue that the rebound numbers are too low for the minutes he is playing. KG for example is averaging 10 less minutes in the series while grabbing 6 rebounds and Davis is averaging a mere 20 minutes a game while grabbing 5 rebounds.
