BTW, one completely underrated way in which we missed Plax today-

Re-watch the short yardage run by Ward off the direct snap. If Hixon makes a bit of a block there we get the first down definitely. Instead he crumbles. That is where Plax was such a lion...he was a huge run blocker and would've certainly made the play there.

i thought i just got done saying they've sorely missed Plaxico's presence this season immediately after that incident occurred... i was the guy who said his presence would be felt immediately all along, don't u remember?

i agree w/u about Toomer, i think his run is up... he didn't show up at all after Plax went out... & i don't wanna rely on Domenik Hixon either anymore... he's way too small & can't block for jack squat, & his hands aren't all that good either... he's best used on special teams... i hope we draft a #1 WR option w/size & big play making ability to take Plax's spot & we sign another reliable veteran WR... i think Steve Smith is still best utilized as a slot reciever... Moss is never gonna be anything than a bust at this point & dunno what we can get outta Manningham... maybe he can turn into something but it's clear we need to restock our WR & LBer crew for next season.

Hixon can make some plays, but he needs to be used in a complementary role while he refines his technique. He's still a little raw. You can't depend on him to play no.1. Smith is definitely a slot/third down guy that should be able to up his game, but he's not physical enough.

Manningham was one of the dissapointments- they futzed around with Moss too much and din't get Manningham enough snaps. He has the talent to be a difference maker but we didn't do a lot to develop him this year.

I don't want to have any further comment on this pitiful performance. I freezed my ass off to see the same ****ty performance we gave in December. I want to forget about this game as quickly as possible. Just get me a big time wide out in the summer and I'll get over this.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

if Hixon had better hands i wouldn't mind using him as a #2 guy... he's got speed to get open deep but his hands really suck... he's also skinny as a chopstick so he won't help the running game at all & isn't able to take too many big hits in the middle of the field on crossing routes... other than Anquan Boldin, are there any other veteran options we should be looking at this offseason?

TJ Houshmanzadeh is an FA. Also Chad Johnson will likely be available via trade for cheap. But its a question of whether he is still capable physically or if he was just dogging it.

The other guy that may or may not be available via trade is Braylon Edwards.

Giants need to make an agressive move to get a WR.

I don't want douchebag Johnson or anyone from Cincinatti for that matter. Whether it is through the draft or free agency, we need a big time play receiver. We need some help in the special teams department as well.

I'll tell you what killed the game though. The 3rd and 20 conversion. What the F was that?!

I saw that too. I was screaming how bad this team needs Plax down the field blocking. Plax and Manning were a natural fit. Plax seemed to know when Manning was going to overthrow him or underthrow it and adjust. Jerry and Tom should be working with Plax's defense team, so this mofo can get back on the field. Fuck you Bloomberg.

Ocho Cinco... damn, he's so talented but he's such a royal PITA... even more of a distraction than Plax if u ask me... i don't think his antics would fly w/Coughlin either.

i like either TJ or Edwards as a #2 option to take over for Amani tho.

That was basically a great play by McNabb. We had him sacked and he escaped and made a great throw. Sometimes great players made great plays- it happened to us a few times last year. It really, really ****ing hurt to watch though.

Ocho Cinco is basically in a Randy Moss situation. If he was dogging it and really wanted to play for a contender, there is no doubt his 90 catch/1400 yard talent would make us the frontrunners next year. But who really wants to take on his personality risk. And secondly he has a bad shoulder. The Giants will have to do their homework, b/c honestly if he could be had for a 4th, that's a move that could make or break a super bowl.

Housh is a really good player. Cincinatti or not, that's a guy you would want on your team because he is so reliable. But he is definitely a possession guy and don't know if he would draw the doubles. But seriously this guy caught 90+ balls with Ryan Fitzpatrick, one of the worst QB's in quite some time to start more than 10 games for a team. That is a real player.

I personally think Chad was dogging it. I think he would embrace the NY spotlight and would love playing for the Giants. Should be able to get him on the cheap.

I agree with you fully about Housh, he's as reliable as they come, he's never hurt either.

I saw in one of your earlier posts you mentioned Braylon Edwards. I will give a big NO THANKS to him. Braylon drops more balls then catches and he has a poor attitude to boot.

Braylon, to this point, profiles a lot like Plax.

It hurt more to watch it live and see douchebag Eagle fans celebrating.

He had plenty of concentration issues in Pittsburgh, not limited to dropping the ball. Inconsistency is the parallel. Both had good years interspersed with completely dissapointing years.

I'd rather not gamble on a guy. We need a sure-thing. Our team is stacked. With Osi returning next year, we go right back to Super Bowl contender status. But WTF happened to Eli? Did Plaxico make Eli? Because it sure looks that way.

The only sure thing is TJ Housh, and you said you wanted no Cincinatti guys. Sure things are generally not available unless you develop them.

If TJ doesn't bring his Cincinatti way of thinking here then I'm all for it. I know he wasn't one of the guys who got in trouble with the law there but he was a part of that atmosphere.

I think any time you see a guy go out and catch 90 balls on a pathetic team with a QB who isn't any better than me, you have a guy who's not caught up in a losing culture. I don't see him as bringing anything like that here...he is a a gamer who will go over the middle as well.
