Layden wasnt hired to be a potential GM. Checketts was the man. From people who knew him, I heard Layden was a very nice guy. Big family. But he wasnt cut out to be more than an AGM. Donnie was tasked with clearing space for LeBron. Then did a piss poor job of selling James on NY. Showing up in a wheelchair. Yikes. |
