Just read that Joe Harris left the bubble for non-medical reasons. Guessing he sees the Nets have zero chance to beat the Raptors and doesn’t want to risk his free agency. I guess that would be smart if I am right.

I was hoping we'd sign him in the offseason, but now think there's no chance of that, Nets seem to be willing to stump up huge luxury tax payments to keep him

And before anyone suggests it: NO to trading for Embiid! I thought after last years playoff exit when he was genuinely upset, it would be a turning point for him, that he'd mature and return in elite shape. Instead he was exactly the same. If that experience wouldn't kick start his maturity, don't think anything will. Seems a nice enough person, but I can see him going the way of Bynum in a few seasons.

Good podcast with Chris Herring as guest- one of my favourite Knick beat writers of the past decade, seems a genuinely nice guy and took the time and effort over the years to try and understand where Knick fans were coming from:

Ha! seems a great person to have as a team mate! Didn't realise he was in John Wick

By the way, I forgot to say yestarday:

Martin can you start adding articles from the new website https://www.thestrick.land on the front page feed?- it would be nice to support former writers of Posting and toasting and other blogs who have set up their own thing to try and get better working conditions and pay for bloggers etc (plus it's good content!). They explain what the project is here and why they left SB Nation:

I did try to yesterday but some tech glitch is preventing us from doing so, I am going to reach out and see if I can contact them and figure it out. Thanks

Great, thanks! A lot of the fan created content on podcasts, twitter and blogs has really become great quality over the past year, it's made following the Knicks more enjoyable (though Ultimateknicks is still the daddy of them all)

This board is slipping- where are all the threads about whether AD will leave the Lakers if they flame out and is AD worth it?! Ha, must admit I was very disappointed with AD in game 1, felt like he was the invisible man- hope he has a bounce back game (don't care about the Lakers but I like watching him play when he's on form).

He needs Kenny Payne to resurrect his career!!
I don’t want to waste much energy on speculation about him. He has a player option and Lakers have his Bird rights. They also have Lebron. They had the best record coming in and a flameout to a surging Blazer team I doubt is enough to have him opt out. I’d like it. It would screw the lakers big time for what they paid for him. I won’t lose any sleep but its pretty rare for a player to do that. Kawahi did but I did not think Toronto paid that much for him considering Derozen was in part a salary dump for them. And they do have a chip1 After that I can’t think of a player screwing A team.
Its a nice dream.

While we at it a Milwaukee disaster will send Giannis to Miami? GSW?

i already speculated on this pre-bubble and without the playoff issue. AD seems pretty genuine to me and when he said he wanted to come here i believed him. don't see how he was posturing for leverage.

i would love to have him.

Damn Doncic is back as much as I like watching him play a injury that causes him to miss 2021 would be great for the knicks

I wouldn't do anything to cause serious injury to a shining star like Luka, but if I did, I would have offered Beverly and Mooch a bounty to send a little message hahahaha Oh well. At least we still have DSJ.

I reckon the Michael Porter is Larry Bird thing might have been a bit premature?
The “BolBol” regret that knicks did not take him still as fresh?
I know we love to hate on our team at times but jumping to conclusions on short samples serves no purpose.
Gotta keep things “factorial”.

I feel bad for hoping he was down but I just dont see this turning around without some insane luck. Without Doncic thats a 30 win team. With 2 Shots at jumping up the NBA would have to f us twice
