Calling him an idiot is irresistible but counter productive because the depressing truth is a large chunk of Americans share his stupid views, by insulting him you insult them which makes them less likely to listen to you and more likely to support him. People believe what emotionally resonates with them- if they feel particularly strongly then there is no reasoning with them because they will just distort and deny any information that contradicts how they feel.

Might be more effective to just focus on the fact he's a con man- he's a complete bull****ter- back in the times of the wild west he'd be honking his wagon from town to town selling his miracle wonder-tonic.

Well the guy has already beat back 16 competitors and he is their nominee...His supporters are all in...The fact that there are independents on the fence wringing the hands wondering who to choose is just mind blowing...

It should have been mind blowing, in reality their minds were blown long ago. Trump is popular because a large percentage of people have the same type of active loathing for Muslims, non whites and women who are fully dressed and capable of holding a conversation. He is mirroring their POV.
On the other hand Hillary is unimaginative, boring and square. She has zero personality, zero charisma and when faced with making a decision between what's right for America and what's best for her legacy, she is capable of choosing the latter. But that last thing isn't unique to her, it's pretty common for politicians.

I agree with you there. Between the three wives, multiple affairs, and his crack about avoiding a STD in the 80s, I think it's safe to say Trump loves women.

I thought his menstruation comment regarding Megan Kelly's questions in a primary debate was pretty disrespectful. He has made comments many times that objectifies women. Seems disrespectful given he is running for president. He'd date his daughter comment was fairly bizarre. He is on record to saying he divorced his second wife because he was bored. Might be the truth, but to boast about it is disrespectful.

It's funny how none of the Trump supporters want to address why he continued with this birther mess AFTER the birth certificate was produced. The only thing they have to try to hang their hat on is who started it? After the newspaper accounts, the Certificate of Live Birth and then the long form birth certificate was produced, Trump STILL publicly doubted he was born in the US. Claimed his "investigators" are discovering things that are "unbelievable" (though he hasn't revealed anything) and that "people are saying" the birth certificate is a fraud.

Yet people still are supporting this guy. smh

There are a number of other questions (lies) he needs to address too (i.e. saying his investigators "can't believe what they're finding", saying Clinton started this issue, etc.), but at minimum he needs to be pressed on why he kept this thing going as recently as January 2016. It's not "tipping the scale" for the press to not accept every answer consisting of 99% slamming Clinton, 1% actually answering the question.
