![]() nixluva wrote:IMO none of this other crap matters. This team was up 3 with only seconds to play. You have to close that game out!!! You have to run the C's off the 3pt line!!! Dble everything out at the 3pt line and who cares if they hit a 2pt shot? Up 3 With time running down we have been hurt by the 3 ball and it's something this team has to do a better job defending. A.......I tried to tell yall. We consistently come out flat in the 3rd quarter, especially in the games we loose. What kind of half time speech is MDA doing? Don't mean to sound like a broken record, but was MDA out coached once again? Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.

![]() I tell you what. Minutes played by guys over the course of this season is going to wear on teams come playoffs. Check out the minutes distribution for the Knicks in an OT game.
It's like some of the Boston guys played a whole addition quarter of basketball versus the Knicks starters: http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=320304002

![]() Knicks still need work but they had the game in hand on the road after playing a sloppy game! but with 00:18 left it came down to getting a stop! D was there and Pierce made a contested 3! That's a low % shot even tho I don't agree with letting them even take 3, still the Knicks have to execute better.
This wasn't a very well played game and they had a 3pt lead. I think it's an indication of how good this team can be if they get in synch. |

Rondo does that all the time....How come we see it and the coaches don't? We just let him roll the ball like that? Good coaching strategy MDA. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.

Before Carmelo, Lin broke 20 points 8 times. Marb my man, you are a DISABLER!! Doc got PP to play the right way and Melo could definitely improve but he is a Star and we need him if we are to be the Anti-Denver. We need him bad!! MDA has to make this work - that is what great coaches do. Create chemistry with star players - and that ain't easy. |

Martin this almost needs it's own thread!!! MDA just has to stick with what he's doing and allow these players to gel. As Martin points out, the Knicks have legit depth and really teams have played guys extra minutes in order to beat us. We lost this battle but could win the WAR!!! IMO this was a lackluster game by the Knicks. We know they can play harder and smarter than this. One thing that MDA said which is true, with such depth the starters have to play MUCH harder and not worry about saving themselves, but this is the habit they've gotten into. The starters don't come out with high intensity and it's the main reason we lose games. Knicks have to play harder than anyone else. We have so much depth there's no reason to hold back or slow the pace down as they did in this game. The starters need to push the pace and let the bench go even faster! |

![]() I think MDA also needs to do a better job adjusting to the Boston/Miami/Chicago type - Trap Defense.
Also, I don't mind the switching as long as they can switch back or double switch quickly. If a small ends up on KG, we don't need to leave them there for 20 seconds, we need to help/switch again. Not cool! |

Yeah I was shouting switch back cuz there was time to readjust or give help when we got in those small on big situations, which the C's were doing on purpose over and over again. I'm also watching the Nuggets vs Spurs and one thing I see is that the Nuggets run at all times and push the tempo and it's funny to see how much slower we actually play in comparison. We were getting a ton more easy baskets when Melo and STAT were out. It's a clear change of speed that isn't helping the team right now. They must push the tempo and get into their offense faster and with more energy. |

![]() At this point any lost is MDA, i thought he left chandler on the bench to long in the 4th, Novak had 1 attemp at a 3 in that stretch.
Worst move of the day by MDA, not playing jorts at all ES

Thats the big difference this year, last year we had chandler and gallo always camping out waitng for the corner 3's.. The starting unit hasn't had that consistanly, melo's not camping out, fields is shooting horrible from 3, and tysons looking for the offensive rebound or a easy dunk.. ES

I know it can be frustrating but we have to allow the coach to adjust to all these players too. It's not easy to play 11 guys in an NBA game!!! As it is MDA played 10 guys and darned near won the game! This is gonna take a little more time for everything to settle down into a nice flow rotation wise. MDA will get Jorts in there. |
