5. Regarding the No. 1 scorer and No. 1 player, Bryant’s shot is back. Told ya so. The largely unknown Wilson Chandler is one heck of a defender and contested Bryant’s shots better than most designated Kobe-stoppers have. Bryant still owned the second half with 8-of-11 shooting for 17 points and shot 54.5 percent for the game – only the second time in the past seven games he has made at least half his shots.
Number 5 of the ten things that Knicks brought out of the Lakers. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/game-lakers-odom-2258935-jackson-bryant “I take my hat off to our team tonight,” Robinson said. “We played well. Will (Chandler) did a phenomenal job on Kobe. Our team’s getting better and better each day, and that’s something that we can look forward to. The team is just buckling down, playing great defense and getting stops. We’re going to score a lot of points, but it’s all about stopping other teams.” http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/28271985/ Wilson Chandler, in his second year in the league, played admirable defense on Kobe Bryant, the reigning most valuable player. Bryant finished with 28 points but did not dominate. Nate Robinson hit one big shot after another and was 12-for-12 from the free-throw line, scoring a game-high 33 points. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/17/sports/basketball/17knicks.html I don't like to play bad rookies , I like to play good rookies - Mike D'Antoni
