very interesting. If its the Spurs pick next year I like this.

I watched Q a ton of times when he was with the Clippers. He's easily the strongest guard in the NBA. He's as strong as Ron Artest. He takes 8 3's a game, but thats part of the Suns offense. He's a GREAT rebounder. I think about 6 a game from the SG spot, and he's 25 years old. If we are giving up the Spurs pick in a diluted draft next year I have no problem with that being that Q is 25 and KT is 32.

Not a great trade, but a very good one. KT is a very solid player. Knick fans are just sick of watching him, but this guy is a solid player and has good value.

You guys are nuts, crazy, loco!!!!! You don't like this deal? What's not to like?!?!?! Were trading away a 32 year old power forward who's under contract till he's 36 (!) for a swingman who's 25! Were tradind away a 6' 9 outside threat who's taking minutes away from Sweetney and our lottery pick for a 6'6 outside threat(three range) who will take away minutes from Crawford, which is exactly what he needs! We needed a swingman who can slash and score consistantly from 3 and we got it! We needed to start using our power forward position in the paint and we got that too!! We got younger, more athletic (there you go Nalod, just for you) a guy at a position we needed and we ooened up space on our team for Sweetney et al. If this deal goes down, we have SCREWED the suns, I mean SCREWED. This deal is so badly weighted in our favor its unreal. So we give the suns their pick back for next year, big freakin deal!!! This trade is amazing. If Isiah pulls this off, he will officially be the best GM we've had since Ernie, by miles. And you guys are complaining!!!

Jeez, no wonder they say Knicks fans are impossible to please! Sheesh!
I agree; I'd like this deal. I'd take Q over Kurt any day and I think Q is a better player than whoever we'd get with a pick in the 25 to 30 range from SA (if that's the pick we're giving up). Q was forced to play on the perimeter with Phoenix but he als has a very good low post game that Phoenix didn't use. I've never thought of him as a poor defender, either.

I don't understand how anyone could have been against this deal if it doesn't even involve a draft pick like we initially thought. That would be a huge steal for us considering the players' ages and ceilings. And it would be great for us because it helps balance the roster.

This would be step one in balancing out the roster--something some you guys thought would be near impossible but I kept saying would be simple.

I'll believe this rumor AFTER it is announced at the end of game 7. Until then, I consider it the usual hype and consider this BS.
If it happens, I believe that it's a good trade for both teams. I like Q and equate him to Joe Dumars in Isiah's vision of constructing the modern day version of his former team. I think that Isiah sees Crawford as himself, so that tells me that Marbury is possibly going to get traded. Longshot, but one can have hope. I don't like Marbury's personna one bit. Friends from Phoenix who knew him personally related that to me some time ago. Scowlface.
I'm also thrilled that Allan Houston will be pushed out the door if this comes down.
We will NEVER win with Marbury as our cameo guy.

Why wouldn't anyone want this deal? Q is a 6'6" SG, but he goes to the line a lot more than Kurt...He post his defenders a lot more than Kurt...He in the back court with Marburry is a hell of an upgrade both defensively and offensively

But, this is not true...Kurt is a knicks for life

yea... despite the fact that there is the all precious link this wouldnt be the first RealGM trade rumor to be total crap.

I think it makes sense for both clubs. I can live with the Spur's pick next year.

Jeez, we're giving the Suns another freaking pick? Damn...this trade got a lot worse.

i'm guessing it's the spurs pick next year, so we could POTENTIALLY be giving the suns BOTH our #1's next year.
The only way the Suns get the Knicks pick next year is if the Knicks have a 50+ win season (in which case none of us should be complaining). The pick is top 21 protected through 2009.

Q is a bit of a hack. He's young athletic and strong as an ox. He's great on the boards also. Wake up though... for all KT's holes in his game Q has just as many.
Q doesnt draw many fouls... for a SG that 6'6 and 235 thats pretty lame. He's a chucker. The guy hasnt broke a 40 in FG% in 3 years. You want to take shots from Crawford, fine. So now your giving them to another guy that jacks 3s and shoots less than 40%.

This is why included a pick is bad. Kurt is older... thats the only advantage in this trade for the Knicks. Its NOT a no brainer, and I wouldnt throw in pick 30 this year. Heck... even the Spurs next year is a stretch, but I guess I could live with it. We need wing players and have 1000 PFs

Fish!!! because of Kurt, we lost Nazr and we almost didn't have a chance to find out what Sweet is all about. Because of Kurt, JB and Bruno didn't get no playing time....Because of Kurt, we were the worst defensive team in the league...If he is gone next season, you will see how much better we will be.

I still don't know how this trade help us. We trade our best frontcourt player- yeah, we were going to trade him, but to improve the team overall- for a guy smaller, that plays in the backcourt and plays no D? Huh?
And how is this different from getting back a healthy Houston. Who's next defensive stop would be his first. Marbury will be asked to play more defense and concentrate less on scoring, while Ariza should get alot of time. I can see him now be a starter primarily for defensive purposes. He guards the 2 or 3 spot.

Kurt takes minutes away from other guys because he outplays them, every year. Sweetney was going to be the starter, and what happened? Kurt came in and outplayed him. Your just tired of watching him, but he's a good player.

I definately don't have a problem with that trade with that pick. With this new CBA agreement everyone is predicting that the 2006 draft will be one of the worst in league history, even NBA officials are saying that is the price of the new CBA after the first year.

I would still draft Granger if we're not taking Bynum. We could certain use a 6-8+ guy who gets it done on both ends of the floor at SF. We trade TT, bury him on the bench whatever! If we draft Frye over Bynum and Granger I'm gonna puke!

I like this move, because it means that others are coming, and Zeke may really be thinking about moving Marbury, which I like, if you utlize Q in the post more it could be a real asset....

His shot selection wasn't great but thats only because he played in a system that didn't have structure.....

If we can get boozer for an expiring contract I would be very excited. And Q is movable which makes the deal extremely appealing and frees up a slot in the front court.....

Don't waste money on Hunter or a pick on Frye......I still like Granger or Brynum with the pick

We need a pick that could explode down the road not just be a role player
