Maybe if fans ran the team the franchise would not be a pathetic joke that it has been for like 6 years now.

I know I would be much happier with somebody like BRIGGS runnin the team then a moron such as Lyaden, IT, or Mullin.

Hardcore fans are a lot more knowlegable of the game then a lot of players considering how much time they spend analyzing from the side.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Briggs has a tendency of severely overrating college players like Shelden Williams and saying Bogut will average 27 & 13 for his career....the guy obviously watches a lot of CBB and is a great source for information but its doesn't mean he'll do a better job than Isiah Thomas!

I don't mind Briggs becoming the GM, as long as he still posts here. ;-)

coming up with ridiculous RealGM trades is one thing. being a GM in the nba is an entirely diffrent animal. not talking about briggs here. i'm just talking about all the lobsided trades that are proposed here but never get done in the real world. I also wouldn't want a GM that doesn't take great foreign players into account in the draft.

At least those realGM trades make sense every once in a blue moon, and come to think of it, real trades only makes sense once in a blue moon, too, so whats the diff. Just check out all the trade deadline moves this year, how many actually make sense to you?

Guns... just answer me this. Do you honestly think this guy's contract is an asset to have? If it is why did Houston give him up seeing as how he's obviously the more talented player in the deal?

It just makes ZERO sense. We have JYD that year among others if you really think expiring contracts matter.

Because Houston doesn't have an Allan Houston sitting on the bench in street clothes for 3yrs collecting $20mil a year while contributing nothing to the team. Thats why. Taylor's contract expiries the same year as houston. He will be gone very soon as will TT & Penny so stop sweating it man!

what does Houston have to do with anything? Who even mentioned him?

So your logic is if the Rockets had one bad contract already on their roster then it would make sense to add more or keep more bad contracts? How does this make sense?

As for sweating it I'm sweating it because its a LAyden type move and its the same win now take on bad players philosophy that got us where we are.

because they don't matter as long as they expire the same yearas the MAIN bad contract! because only then will they have a more manageable cap!!!!!

Taking on bad deals that have to stay on your roster is bad no matter when they end, even if they just expire, what is the reasoning for picking up garbage players who don't play any defense and pay them a lot of money meanwhile giving up draft picks for them?

My main problem with the Mo Taylor trade is that we gave up a draft pick to get him. If there was no draft pick invovled, then I would not care that much.

But the fact that we gave up a roster spot and a potential young chip high upside low risk player from the high 2nd round, really really sucks.
