what makes you think he'll start playing like that at 29yrs of age? He is what he is. even with astar frontcourt player he lacks the court vision you need as a PG. His IQ is too low to recognize anothing other than a pick and roll with Kurt.

I disagree...I have watched Marb play when he was in Phoenix, this dude is excellent when he has guys that can play above the rim playing with him...Next season, if we acquire the talents that we need to have, you will see a much needed chemistry between he and Crawf...He already has that with ARiza, if JD is the type of player they claim that he is, you will be exposed to Marburry's true value....What happened to Marburry this season is to blamed on two people: Lenny and Houston...Lenny tried to once again alter Marburry's playing style, and that my friends is a big mistake....Marburry is the type of guards that has to push the ball to be effective....Lenny's system was not what Marb needs.. Having a front court of Nazr and Kurt along with the disappearance of Houston and TT, made matters worst....

If TT is retained after this season, and Crawf improves his shot selections, Kurt is no longer in our lineup and we give a good prospect a chance to shine, watch out...Marb made a star out of Amare and Marion, he can do the same with a group of youngsters around him....However, who so ever is the coach, can't attempt to change the abilities that Marb possesses....That is why I wouldn't mind keeping Herb around or bring Flip on board....Neither of those two would change or attempt to ask Marb to be a player that he is not...In fact Herb is pushing Marb to shoot the ball more....that is a 360 compare to what Lenny was doing...

Marb needs to do two things this off season: learn how to defend and rebound the ball better....

i don't remember marbury throwing alley-oops tp marion/amare.

Marbuey is the one who inexpicably doesn't like pushing the ball. he rather walk it up

Dido, what the heck are you rambling about?

What does chemistry between Marbury and Craw have to do with anything?

How did Lenny try to change Marbury?

How does Marbury make Marion and Amare when they are havin there best year yet w/out him?

For the last time, Marbury NEVER pushes the ball, NEVER pushed the ball in the past, and he IS NOT A GOOD PASSER!

Houston or no Houston, and whatever about your boy TT, in the east, a team with a TRUE superstar should never be below .500, we are 9 games below .500 and not gonna make the playoffs.

That is why Marbury blows, he is simply not a winner.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Simrud you are right. Marbury is a loser so far and lacks some intangible which we can't put our finger on. His New York ****iness which we admire is also his downfall. Street mentality is what lost us the Olympics. PLAY defense Steph! You have the talent and the smarts. At this rate you will never even be as good as Kevin Johnson, another offensive point guard who won nothing in his career.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

>>if we acquire the talents that we need to have, you will see a much needed chemistry between he and Crawf...

didderotn - there is NO chemistry between Steph and Jamal. None.

Marbury and Crawford are essentially the same player but with some subtle differences. Marbury's non-verbal communication skills ailenate him from the same players he should be making better. Craword is learning to love the joy of the assists and shows the creativity to expand his game at 24. Marbury sulks. Crawford is cool.

Neither plays good defense. But I'd take my chances with the 6'5 Crawford's quickness and lightning hands as a defender. He simply needs to be forced to apply his skills as a defender.

Marbury is not a good passer. If you look carefully, too any of his passes are not caught in rhythm or in the flow. He needs to drive and dish MUCH more than he does.

Marbury has unquestionable talent.

The question is whether he has the leadership gift.
