Herb just showed me why he is a better coach for this team than Lenny. No knock on Lenny put he praised the team for making the playoffs and even praised them recently. Herb just said on MSG that yeah they made the playoffs last year but they weren't happy being swept and he wants the Knicks to go back to winning in the playoffs! I love you Herb!!!

Herb has witnessed what it takes from the 90s knicks to win in the playoffs. he witnessed the importance of Ewing and his low post game and defense. That is why I believe that he will get the most out of of Sweetney by featuring him a lot more

Key word being "offered". He hasn't decided if he was going to accept it, but Isiah said that Lenny would be paid the remainder of his contract regardless so that had nothing to do with it. Although that would have to be one heck of an office job to be paid that much. More than even Isiah.

It's ok to see through something as transparent as this. It doesn't make you a hater people.

in the post before that one you said you'd never heard of anyone being paid the remainder of a contract after they had resigned, but that's exactly what Isiah said he'd do in Lenny's case...so which is it?

I wonder if Herb will make a lineup change.

Sweets is not Ewing. I don't think Sweets has the physical size, stamina,not passing abilty to be the featured option. The 1990s featured teams that were true contenders before Herb got there. THe 1996 versions were bloated Ewing ego teams with charlie as our point. The 1999 team was lucky, and had no real chance against the spurs.

I wish him well, but unless lenny was unwilling to go with your suggestions, I doubt much will change. Its not like we bought in an outsider who will install a whole new system? I wish Herb well, really ,but my expectations are low, or the same.
