Oh, and don't tell me its the coach's fault because I don't buy that anymore. Lenny has been the same coach throughout his career so he hasn't been the one changing for the bad. He may not be the screamer coach this cry-baby team needs, but he is a coach that has had succes in other places and its for a reason. If this team listened to him and played its game without needing him to be over them everytime, we would see more wins from this team like the ones where NY has played good defense and scored when they needed to. It was even stated in the recap that Lenny gave them a play and they didn't follow it. Isiah is right about keeping Lenny because its the players responsability to make a good effort. Firing the coach would be falling into the players' game. They are paid to perform, they have fans following them, they have the clear objective to win as much games as they can, so why don't they are mature pros and play like they can? We don't have all the pieces yet, but with the ones they have, they can definitely win. Don't tell me its the injuries because a game like this one would've been won with effort.

Everytime they don't show up for games, like today, this team just proves to be a joke. When are they going to mature?

I just got home from the game...

Oh.

My..

GOD...

It was a miracle that I kept my Prime Rib sammich down watching that madness.

Was anybody playing besides JYD, Steph, KT & Ariza?

Damn, well here comes the shakeup...

It's gonna happen sooner than later.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Jeez, what are the frickin odds. I come all the freakin way from London for my only Knicks game ever, i figure ill stack the odds, and go the a game against a team that has won 3 games all year and what do i get.F*** ALL. That should be the logo F***ALL BALL.

Anyway, heres my take.

1. Contrary to popular belief, Lenny coached a nice game. All his subs came out good. Hoochie came in and went 3-3 in the 2nd. He kept Nazr in on 5 fouls for way too long, and he did his thing well.

2. Not having a backup SG or Forward player hurt us bad. Any time there was a substitution, there wasnt more then one offensive player on the court at one time. Moochie, Ariza, JYD, Kurt and Nazr. Or Houston Moochie Ariza JYD and Kurt. There was noone to put the ball in the basket.

3. Jerome Williams is now oficially my favourite player in the universe. There was one sequence when he got the offensive board from his own free throw and threw it down. Then he got the steal for the layin, and to cap it off, rocked the rim off a nice Steph feed. Biggest ovation of the night and deservedly so. He ROCKS!!!!

4. Marbury's not well or something. Yeah yeah i know he got 13 assists, but he took one jumpshot the entire night. Most of his drives ended with a kickout and no end result. Maybe he has an injury or something but he didnt drive the lane anywhere near as much as he usually does. At the beginning of the second half they were doubleteaming him at the half court line, and there was noone else on the team to score. He needed to be aggresve, and came up short.

5. Baron Davis is soooooooo quick.

6.Houston hasnt lost a step. Hes lost like five or six steps. He looks like he needs a Zimmer frame out there. I think he could defend if he could physically move, but he cant. He put up the stupidest shots. The kinda stuff you see Paul Pierce going for when the Celtics are winning. Difference is Pierce can hit those, Houston cannot.

7. Stephon Marbury has a very short memory span. I cant remember a worse defensive effort from him. Dan Dickau lit him up for 17 point. 17 points!!!! From a white guy!!

8. Baron Davis is sooooooooo quick.

9. I know we lost and everything, but the Garden is MAGIC. Oh man, I walked in, and I could feel it right away. It was awesome. I was sitting right behind the bench, and I watched IT the entire night. Smart man, about midway throught the third, he gave up on the game, and spent the rest of the game shmoozing the the Knicks City Dancers. Hey, at least he had fun.

Speaking of which, after tonights horrific showing, I think it should be called the Knicks City Dancer Show, oh and by the way, the Knicks will pretend to play while the hot chicks are taking a break.

All in all a dissapointing night for me, but there were a few highlight moments. Trevors putback, Nazrs huge palming the ball, swooping through the lane and crashing it through move and, of course the Junkyard Dog Show.

i can see a big let down coming.....

NOH record is terrible but they have some players back off injury so they are sneaky.

Rodney Rogers, Nailon, PJ, Baron and JR Smith sounds like a evenly matched game.

I got my advil ready.

I told you so.....

Houston 6-20 with no other inpact in the game.....The Knicks had enough to win even without the missing people.

Isiah must be almost on the crack pipe looking at this team with no possible trade to help in sight.

Steph needs some help.....he's always seem to be running 3 steps ahead of the rest of the team. When Crawford comes back Craw is a step ahead of Marbs.....Knicks need a balance....

Until then? it's gonna be rough.

DUDE!!!!!!

A quick application of forensic psychology suggests that the warning signs were in evidence all along. To wit:

The night before the game the tension is already apparent: "yep and they beat the Kings the other night, scary game tomorrow but we SHOULD win"

Early in the 1st quarter, note the rage: "WE CANT GET A ****ING REBOUND AND NOW WE'RE DOWN 8"

A mere 2 minutes later, we've now cycled into submission and despair: "wow we're down 10, this is disgusting"

4.5 minutes later, note the lability of mood and the expression of rescue fantasy: "JYD BABY!!!!!!"

A minute and a half later we're projecting: "Marbury looks lethargic out there"

Nothing for 28 minutes and then this histrionic outburst: "LMFAO THAT WE'RE DOWN 5 AND WE'VE BEEN DOWN THE WHOLE HALF, OMG WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS TEAM"

Exactly 3 minutes later: "HAHA DOWN 7, IM REALLY GONNNA FLIP OUT"

2 minutes later - again the inappropriate affect and signs of hypomania: "WTF is wrong with Marbury tonight?? he doesnt look into the game...down 7 at the half LMFAO"

9 minutes later a cogent attempt at regaining perspective and planning a rational response; "if the Knicks lose tonight I seriously think Im not watching them for a couple games"

But 15 minutes later it's obvious that the coping defenses are breaking down: "KNICKS SUCKclap clap clap KNICKS SUCK clap clap clap"

55 minutes later, and one can only imagine what has transpired during this time; "KNICKS ****ING SUCK"

by now of course the full story emerges: haha and by the way I got so mad last night that I punched a hole in my door and I wasnt allowed to sleep home, I had to sleep by my girlfriends cause my parents wouldnt let me sleep home. my knuckles are still so red . I HAD A TOTAL BREAKDOWN LAST NIGHT"

DUDE!!!!! Hope your hand is better and all issues repaired with the rents.

btw what exactly is "sleep by my girlfreinds?" Interesting phrase.

Get better and do whatever you have to do to chill. We need you back on board. And hope you didn't mind my poking a little fun!

HAHA i dont mind at all man, its all in good fun. And yes im back on board, I just go a little crazy sometimes during the game, ok i go A LOT crazy. But honestly its something i cant control, i throw things, punch things, scream at the top of my lungs. My parents always tell me im gonna have a heart attack. I become a totally different person when the Knicks are on and when they show no effort I go absolutely bezerk (absolutely no idea how to spell that word). But anyway Im back on board although I still havent gotten over last nights loss, theres absolutely no excuse for losing that game last night. LETS GO KNICKS, PLEASE START PLAYING WITH SOME FIRE, EMOTION, AND HEART. Thats all us fans ask for, JUST PLAY HARD EVERY NIGHT FOR 48 MINUTES, OH YEA AND WE ALSO ASK FOR ONE MORE THING START PLAYING SOME DEFENSE

Oh man I used to be EXACTLY like you! Here's one of my all-time best/worst: when I was younger my biggest hero was Muhammed Ali (outside of Jimi Hendrix ). Anyway I took my wife to a big auditorium to see a closed-circuit fight of him v. Larry Holmes. Even though it was apparent that Ali had nothing in the tank and was getting his ass whupped I kept denying and telling her, "He's just rope-a-doping him; he's playing with him, he's gonna finish him off any minute now." When Ali lost, I got comatose and couldn't move, I wouldn't leave the auditorium. Finally we left and went to a bar. I excused myself and went into the men's room, where I locked the door and then TORE the place apart. I mean I ripped towel dispensers off the wall, busted the sink, the whole thing, totally berserk. I've BASICALLY learned to calm down over the years, but deep down inside I still feel the same way you do after a heartbreaking loss

You were a fairly dangerous man weren't you?

My last bit of sports intensity was the 1994 playoffs. When OJ's joy riding live tv event preempted game 5 of the NBA playoffs, I was screeming to shoot the MotherPhucher and get the game back on!

When they lost in game 7 after Starks halucination game I saw the team in a different light. The Miami series (the only time they lost to miami was with the best team they ever had!) really made me look at the team as a product. The 1990s team for some were the real deal, but the persuit of annual deep playoff run disabled the team to keep enough assets to really get it right and get Patrick the support he really needed.

The 1999 run was nice, but the team has a snowballs chance in hell. My expectations annually were if we beat Miami, that was enough. Sad.

Sweets and trevor are hopefully a sign that we look at this long term and build it right. I will get behind them if they do, but for now they are interesting and entertaining and should not go back to the future to fix short term problems by giving away picks and potential.
