you can see why he got the invite. watch all of his drives. coordinated, controlled, smooth. only question is if he has enough speed to play in the nba.

diawara- looking for him to dominate. we know he is unselfish and can pass. but this SL I want to see him shoot a lot.

dadiet- overall needs higher consistency. If he runs to the corner and never airballs a 3 thats an improvement for him.

nickel- will be an interesting watch. I wanna see his movement skills on defense and whether he can bring other skills onto the court

dillon jones- wanna see his game. I know nothing about him

all G / C / Fs- the biggest thing im looking for is rebounding. rebounding is the new meta for analytics due to how often teams are now crashing, it is also a huge emphasis for mike brown. I wanna see if any of these guys have unique rebound skills. if a guy like Nickel racks of Rebs or palek you will see them get more attention from the team.

sometimes upping the hoops IQ of your team is either as important or more so for leveling up your team than athletic ability

When I see a big who is slower, my main focus becomes how intelligently they play the game

The Palek guy looks like an extremely good passer from inside the pocket and from the top of the key (i.e. may be able to make PG type of roll man passes to cutters)

Losing Mitch cost us a very big body for D and boards, but we may see an upgrade on offense this season from the post position due to shooting and passing ability. Drummond can shoot and pass. Perhaps another big we add will have those attributes too.

Only Knick that looked ready for rotation minutes was Nickel

He moved well on defense and he has the stroke he was reported to have

Dadiet with two drives so second best, but I still need more energy from him

Mo was tense and played poorly to start out the game

Looks completely lost out there

Overall, first half was brick city from outside for the Knicks aside from Nickel

Most points were in the paint with Dadiet showing a knack for penetration and scoring at the rim or drawing the foul. He also played some decent defense

Mo just hit a shot to end the half, but he's in his head so far

Jones has a competent handle and can drive, but doesn't do much with it

Only rotation worthy players so far are Nickel and Dadiet

No signs of Kayil or Pakel today. Not sure if they are even in Vegas yet
