Mitch going to the line.....might as well try to make the first and work on missing the second on purpose to try to get an offensive board and putback. That should definitely discourage teams from hack a Mitch

Scrappy litte mofo --- I like the way he plays the pick and roll.

- can pop quick 3 ball
- can get to floater
- can get to lob
- can make simple pass to pick/roll big

I guess most guys can do the above but his quickness and confidence seem above average - had 2 air-mailed 3 balls but otherwise an extremely positive 1st start.

Other thing and very important with this team --- I felt confident with the ball in his hands (few guys you can say that about on this squad).

MO was amazing today.

Absolutely loved when he went into the baseline post and hit the little jump hook.

Saw someone elsewhere complimenting Mikal D on Brown but Brown absolutely toyed with Mikal -- wasn't until Mo guarded Brown that we slowed him down. Brown loves to get into paint and just shoot over guys but Mo 9'2" standing reach makes that just a tad harder.

He had zero chemistry with anyone and it showed, yet still made a huge impact. Looks like he will get lots of run with Brunson as well. One thing I noticed which was clear as day out there, he is more than just a pesky POA defender, guy was a brilliant team defender and was orchestrated more off ball switching to keep himself on the tougher cover and move other guys around than I've seen all year. He is clearly a high IQ player and great defensive communicator. This feels like it could be another Josh/Derrick type mid season trade that is exactly what the team needs at the right time.

He is also definitely going to be hitting lots of lobs with Mitch once the chemistry gets right. Can't wait to see some of the defensive lineups we can run out there with OG back. Especially in crunch time when we put out the defensive death lineup that shut down Denver in the final possessions many times the other night.

Never would have thought, that the path for this team was going to be turning itself around into possibly the leagues best defense, but here we are. No clue what changed or clicked, but I hope it stays. I for one would much rather watch an elite team built on defense than anything else.

im really worried about MO, he's going to be a stud, but i read we gave him a 1 year deal only and can only offer him a min contract next year? seems another team could easily offer him $3m or so and he's gone. Would be another IhART - esque **** up by Leon. Why draft someone and then not give yourself any control over them?

Need to keep MO. I don't care how. He will be better than Mikal and OG

the biggest question about MO was his shooting, and he's at 40% from 3. and these aren't garbage time shots. he's playing key minutes against starters mostly. His IQ is already better than a 11 year vet like KAT. He's in the right spots, he helps on D and his length allows him to guard even C's. he's the best prospect we've had since RJ or KP.

I remember earlier in the season hearing Brown compliment Diawara. I wrote it off thinking he was talking about some developmental prospects, some 50 pick who can stick.

Little did I know he was talking about someone who can contribute right now and change games.

I have not seen that at all. I have seen he is a RFA and we can match anything, but there's nothing stopping another team from giving him a huge offer and forcing us to match.

Same with Jalen apparently.
