I kind of want Bridges at SG and OG at SF with either Diawara or Sochan at PF - to make the positional size advantage. Diawara helps with the natural 5 out and I think his development is enhanced by the minutes in the SL. I tend to think that Hart and Bridges use a lot of the same possession types and Bridges would benefit from being staggered with Hart. Bridges can handle bringing up the ball for Brunson. I see Sochan as a Hart archetype with positional size -BigHart comment. He could replace Hart in the SL as well bring a lot of the same energy if you want to stagger and take advantage of positional size better. Harts the better player though, so not surprised if he keeps his SL spot.

Finally having good problems.

Need more 41 assist nights on our books.

Sochan was picked up to improve our matchups with teams like DET and, ironically, SA, where big, young, athletic squads give us issues.

OG was out for the massacre by DET, but generally we need depth where a tough 6'8" grinder forward can handle some of those assignments.

He's essentially OG insurance. Even though MO can start in place of OG, he is not at this point a physical bruiser defensively.

This is the way, once MO is ready. Brown has started him 4 times at low mins. But he has yet to play with the full potential starting lineup. Every start someone was missing.

And when Mitch sits on back to backs, Knicks get a small ball C. Who can dribble, switch, but not shoot from distance

I have wondered about the low minute starts.

Maybe this is the development of Mo Diawara, and they kinda sorta script out or have a limited set of plays to run that he is familiar with and keep to that routine when he starts. Change it slightly every time he gets a chance but keep it simple and limited in minutes.

Maybe.

Maybe.

The fact that he's gotten 4 starts says they def have been trying to slowly groom him for the role. They know what MO reaching even solid role players status in the starting lineup means for the squad.

He actually has 6 total starts not 4 so corection. Most of any "prospect" on the team. Yabu never even got a start as a front court vet.

This is who I was hoping the Knicks drafted in 2022. Aside from highlights and articles, haven’t seen much of him in the NBA but I am excited the Knicks were able to pick him up.

My only concern is that the Spurs were willing to just let him go for nothing.

…and what sucks is that this means McCullar will be left off the playoff roster. Big fan and hope the Knicks keep him up for next year.

Weird that 4 first round players (3 lottery picks), from the 2022 Lottery draft were traded, or waived, during this most recent trading deadline.

I can see Clarkson eventually waived and McCullar taking his place late in the year. But maybe the Knicks are set.

Seems we will be facing teams that foul every possession and dare the refs to call it this post season so adding another rotation player is a must if we are going to match their physicality. The young upcoming teams have deep benches and now so do we.

crazy that Hart is shooting 3's so much better than KAT and on same volume. Hart has legitimately been very good and consistent from 3.

Knicks are suddenly a very good 3pt shoot team again, and it's their best players - Mikal OG Brunson KAT - who are under 40% which is just wild

Adding a wing defender like Sochan for the minimum at this point in the season is really lucky. He also has some dawg in him which we still needed. I just hope this doesn't mean Diawara ends up like Kolek glued to the bench. I don't like it when young players get demoted for no fault of their own!

To play devil's advocate, if Sochan cuts into MO's minutes, is that really the worst thing considering MO's RFA status? Maybe it helps us hide MO a bit more while not losing much.

this is on the money. our path through the playoffs will encounter a lot of big guards, and if we make the finals we're talking SGA or Castle

the loser in this move, unforunately, is Jose. His minutes will be scarcer
